Wal-Mart Monopoly

You know why people shop at Walmart and not small businesses? Because they CAN'T afford to pay more from a small business for the same goods.

Someone tried to run a CD store here. Yes, they carried uncensored CDs and stuff Walmart didn't, but at $20 per CD they went out of business.

Target won't even open a store in my area, so they have no right to whine that I'm not going to make an hour's drive to the nearest Target store. Not liek their prices are really much better.

If they would simply expand their toy department, restock more often and get more exclusive lines, they could easily crush Toys R Us, a store that already charges higher prices.

Walmart opposes capitalism? Walmart is the very product of capitalism. But this happens every time a company becomes big. Microsoft is a monopoly. Why? It's not their fault Macs aren't gaming platforms and cost more. It's not their fault people buy PCs to play games on. It's not their fault Sun Microsystems doesn't sell PCs. I once heard the presidennt of Sun claiming that MS was holding back PC development by 10 years, I call bullshit on that. They're a monopoly because more people have a use for their products. Nothing more.

Capitalism. A gateway to success, but don't be too successful or people complain.
That's what all the unemployed Americans want and need right now. 32 hours a week at $4.15 an hour.
I'd take it.
thurstbucket can provide the ammunition, I can provide a box of "pop tarts."
Shit no, I'm running dangerously low. Do you have any idea how much ammo the armed waste while unemployed?

You don't know what you're talking about.
 Average wages for full time Wal-Mart associates are $10.48 an hour, which is significantly higher than minimum wage.
Full-time associates? How many of those are there per store other than management?
They could give people more hours if they would open up more than 5 fucking checkout lanes.
You know full well that more than 5 lanes of moving merchandise would cause a cloud of lethal lead dust.
I was going to say i'll buy a face mask form them then, but that probably has lead in it too.
What do you think is blocking out all of the hazardous lead particles? A higher concentration of lead particles.
Someone needs to make it to the TV section and kill the heart of the Wal Mart... [/nerd reference]
South Park references are not nerd references.

Yes. I am a nerd and I had no idea what he was talking about.

I watched the first two seasons of southpark back in ancient history and that was enough for me.
