Walking Dead season 1?

I ended up grabbing this on Amazon. I went to Walmart for groceries and saw it for $24 and it would have been nice to have it immediately, but I can wait a couple days.

WARNING! My Blu-ray set came with a DVD disc 2. It's possible others are also getting the DVD version of disc 2 or vice versa.

The reason I noticed is because I placed in disc 2 accidentally and noticed the crappy menu resolution and the crappy low video quality upon pressing play. I couldn't believe it and so I switched discs and sure enough the menu and video on disc 1 was fine and dandy.

I looked at both side by side and here's how you can tell if you have the correct discs:

Disc 1 has the Blu-ray Disc Logo and near the bottom a disc number of BD22647-1.

Disc 2 is missing the Blu-ray logo and has a disc number of DV22646-2.

I'm going to Best Buy for an exchange tomorrow. Just giving you all the heads up to check now especially since many here might have huge back logs and won't watch the series until well beyond the 30 day return/exchange policy that many places have.

^^Thanks for the warning, but luckily I'm good. This show is in semi-backlog for me having seen it on TV, but disc 2 wasn't. I watched all the bonus features already, so I know I'm good on this one. Pretty ho-hum stuff too. All AMC fluff pieces, pretty much, except the comicon panel, but I had seen that already On Demand on Comcast before the series premiered last fall. It's all okay for what it is, I guess, but I'd have preferred more Kirkman stuff about how it all started, commentaries, and maybe some comic-to-scene side-by-sides like some movies have with storyboards, showing how certain scenes translated from book to film. I can always hope for more with season 2.

I'm glad they kept the price from last week. I'll probably use a reward zone certificate to drop the price. I only made it to episode 3...does it get better/worse?

Pilot is amazing, the next five episodes stay at the same level of mediocrity IMO.

If you liked the second and third episodes, you'll like the rest. If you didn't, the next three episodes won't change your mind.

So you don't like it and you love Terriers. WE GET IT. Go create a Terriers thread if you like, but I don't think you're adding anything to this thread.

I got it for $3.xx with a $20 reward zone certificate. Its really well directed, but its going to be a long wait now. Kinda wish I had held off since I could likely get the :br: for $10-15 before the second season even airs and I don't have cable anyway so won't watch that until it comes out on video.

I noticed this too, I thought my PS3 was acting up when it showed a DVD, but also noticed the picture quality wasn't as good either.

I'll have to check my copy and make sure I have both BD discs and not a 1 BD / 1 DVD mix.

I'll check the discs, if Amazon ever gets around to sending mine to me. So much for Prime when it takes a week for them to get it out. There wasn't anything when I bought it saying there would be a delivery delay, but there is now.

He specifically asked if it gets better or worse and I gave him my opinion. If he liked episodes two and three, he'll like the rest. If he didn't, he won't like the rest.

Buy it for $18 or $23 watch it right away b/c it's only 6 episodes. Then sell it while demand is high & rebuy during the new tv season or bf.
