This thread will be as good a place as any to list the new 2-pack TVDVD sets I saw at Wal-mart the other day:

$20 for each of these 2-packs, bundled together on the top shelf of the TV on DVD aisle:

Buffy S1 & Angel S1
X-Files S1 & S2
Bones S1 & Saving Grace S1
Dark Angel S1 & TRU Calling S1
Arrested Development S1 & S2
In Living Color S1 & S2
King Of The Hill S1 & S2

A few others as well, but these are the best.

I've seen American Dad S1/S2 included with these.

Damn X-Files s1/s2 for $20 is a steal. Even if they are the slimpack ones. Too bad I already own them. I also own all of the o0ther sets you listed aside from Saving Grace S1. lol. damn.

What's wrong with the slimpack ones?

Yep, less shelf-space is always good. Dark Angel started as a huge box, then went to a slimmer digipak, now the new 2-pack has it in a standard amaray case with all 6 discs magically crammed in. I think the X-files sets may be that way as well, can't remember.

The slimpack ones don't contain the seventh disc that had all the bonus features on it.

I'm willing to go in with someone else on the arrested development 2pk if someone's looking for season 2. PM me if so.

edit: the same goes for the dark angel/tru calling 2pk if someone's looking for dark angel

Olive Branch, MS has these, too. There was no "rollback" signs or anything on them, so they're around $19.96-20.00 SRP. Looks like it's chain wide, but individual store availability could be YMMV.

I like the bigger sets. Sure it takes up more shelf space..but the big packs look cool. I love the fold out designs. Same goes for Buffy and Angel. To each there own though. And yah the X-Files big sets have way more features...if the slimpacks even have any. I remember when they were selling those for $100 new. I paid probably a good $500 for all 9 seasons in there original big packaging. Lucked out and got half of them used for like $50 a piece. This was like 5+ years ago..so back than it was a steal. I also like the episode guide booklets the big cases come with instead of having them listed on the back of each slim case. Just a more professional and organized look to it I guess.

Went to my local one today and found some of the ones stated like the arrested development 2pk but no dark angel/tru calling hopefully another store will have it. Also you can add 2 more bundles to the op:
stargate sg1 season 1 / outer limits season 1
the practice/ another law show not sure which one.

If anyone gets the dark angel/tru calling one and doesn't want tru calling I'll buy it off them.

I saw King of the Hill, the Simpsons, In Living Color, American Dad, Hill Street Blues, and the Outer Limits available in these double packs at Target today for $15 - an amazing price just for one season of a show, let alone two.

I almost bought Friday Night Lights at Best Buy a week ago for $20. I'd bought the first season a long time ago, and didn't realize Season 2 was out. Best Buy had only one copy, but I was buying a couple 3-disc PPV sets and a Blu-Ray disc on sale... and in the end I left Friday Night Lights on the shelf.

Was glad I did Tuesday. Went to Wal-Mart for allergy meds, and looked for Final Fantasy VII on Blu before work to compare with Target's sale. They didn't have it, but I found FNL Season 2 for $15.00. Figured I'd probably never see it again for that, and counted myself lucky.

Also ended up getting FF VII Advent Childern (Blu) $24.97, as well as Mission Impossible (Blu) $14.99 and Mission Impossible 3 (Blu) $14.99 at Target. So it's been a good week for movies.
