Wasn't sure whether to post this or not, considering it pretty much mirrors the Rightstuf Viz and Warner anime sale. The local walmart set a new endcap today featuring several anime titles.

Ghost in the Shell 2.0 Blu - $9.98
Ghost in the Shell Solid State Society Blu - $9.98
Ghost in the Shell Laughing Man Blu - $9.98
Ghost in the Shell Individual Eleven Blu - $9.98
Death Note Re-Light 1 - $5
Death Note Re-Light 2 - $5
Bleach Box Sets 1 - 3, and 5 - $13.00 apiece
Bleach Movie Memories of Nobody - $5
Inu Yasha Seasons 1 and 7 (only 2) - $10 apiece
Inu Yasha Movie - Swords of an Honorable Ruler - $5
Inu Yasha Movie - Fire on the Mystic Mountain - $5
Red Line dvd - $7.50
Naruto Movie - Legend of the Stone Gelel - $5
Naruto Movie - Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom - $5
Naruto Shippuden - $13
Naruto Box Sets 15 and 16 - $10 each
Supernatural Anime - $10
Fushigi Yugi Season One - $20
Cowboy Bebop/American Pop 2 pack -$5

There are others including some Robotech movies or sets. The rows were empty for the Robotech. Others on display included Hetalia Season 1, Halo Legends, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Dragon Ball Z, but the prices were around the same or more expensive than Amazon.

I believe the sale is still going on at Rightstuf so with similar prices, better selection, no tax, and free shipping over $49, that may be your best bet.
is this sale on all walmarts?
Not all Walmarts match their online prices, so it'll be YMMV. Your best bet is to try and order it for in-store pick up at your store if you were planning to head down to the store to purchase.

This was located on an endcap, so it's probably seasonal. I believe the last time my local walmart did an anime endcap, it stayed up for about a month. I'll check more walmart's Thursday. Some of the Bleach sets were in rough shape with rounded corners. Just noticed it today, so I'd say it went up within the last day or two. I picked up the first three Bleach volumes, the Bleach movie, Ghost in the Shell 2.0 on blu, and an Inu Yasha movie. $5 for the Inu Yasha, Bleach, and Naruto movies were a decent buy.

Saw this today at Wal-Mart. Kinding of surprising since I usually never have any luck finding deals at Wal-Mart. Picked up all the Ghost in the Shells, except for 2.0, which I already had. I had been waiting for a price drop on these for a while.

The last 3 ghost in the shells are the adult swim episodes right. If so are they the whole series on a single blu-ray?

The tv show always seemed decent and far more non brain melting WTFness plot that the first movie had. (I still don't get the point of that and I own it on DVD. though last time I watched it was at like 16 and im 24 now.)

Laughing Man and Individual Eleven are just recap films of the first two seasons. Solid State Society is a sequel to the TV series if I remember correctly.

You are correct, sir.

Damn, I want GITS SSS, but online price is 15.96. I guess I'll stop by tomorrow to check, but I highly doubt it will be there.

Def picking up GITS SSS, Inuyasha Season 1, and Redline. Btw, both the Deathnote recap movies were sticked 5.00 instead of 7.50 at my walmart. There were a bunch of empty spaces also so who know what my walmart will end up doing.

I went to my Wal-Mart yesterday and they didn't have no such sale. There are no anime titles I found in sight.

Went to two more Walmarts today and they both had end caps with anime. The Death Note's were indeed $5 at both, so the initial $7.50 I saw was a tag error. I didn't pay close attention to the Bleach sets, initially. They have sets 1 - 3 and 5. They do not have 4. I also saw a Cowboy Bebop/American Pop 2 pack for $5, that I had not previously seen.

I have stopped at 3 local Walmarts (in the Va Beach area) over the past couple of days and have found nothing.
I am assuming these displays are in the electronics sections in the stores right? They have not been in some odd or random spot in the store?

Two of the three I saw were on an end cap in the movie section. The other one was on an end cap towards the video game section. All in electronics.

Mine has all the ones mentioned except the Cowboy Bebop one but also had the Trigun movie for about 13$,Summer Wars 13$

Just now heard of this but as I have to drop my mom off there to work every night and thus in there all the time I never saw this at my store either. Sucks, would have loved to pick up a few things this had.

This sale did not last long at my Wal-Mart. I seen the display being set up last Tuesday...was finally complete(All products filled in from empty spaces) on Friday. Come Monday...it was GONE. They pulled it completely for the Halloween movies. I really love how Wal-Mart gave this a chance. I managed to snag what I wanted but my wife was gonna get me a couple more of the blurays...too bad so sad.

They probably just moved them. That's what they did at the Wal-Mart here.
Are the Naruto movies worth getting? Any recommendations?
They are very hard to recommend. 1 & 2 are forgettable and I liked 3 because it was just so different and it had Rock Lee. 1 & 2 are pretty much on par with your typical filler arcs the original series except less whining about Sasgay and with sightly better animation than the series.

Anime at Wal Marts are typically hard to come by, I honestly think that they only stock them if someone keeps buying them. For example, my Wal Mart in Hagerstown (and the one close by in Waynesboro, PA) only holds the latest Naruto Shippuden and Bleach DVD sets (and they never have the first ones from each series which sort of means it's only for the few they have bought ALL of the sets before it) and all of Dragonball Z & GT. Every once in a while we'll get some random DVD sets in, like for example, we recently got the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Collection DVDs recently, and we've had Dragon Ball Kai and the failed DBZ Blus as well. We even had a random anime blowout with super cheap anime DVDs two years ago as well (That's when I grabbed Soul Eater Parts 1 & 2 for $10 each for a Christmas gift).

Anyway, TL;DR. YMMV.

I didn't care for any of the naruto movie, and the last couple naruto shippuden movies are the only ones I would ever recommend. It really just depends how die hard of a fan you are. When in doubt I would rent them first or stream them.
