Weaker sales than expected is the usual reason.

But in this case I'd say it's probably an effort to get players online as possible for the release of RDR2 online. Network effects

That's an insanely good deal. I've been playing the online mode and although it's a little rough around the edges, it's still pretty fun. They just added some new modes this week.

what has scared me away is how folks say the pace is so slow. Is the online faster paced? Do you still have to do all the life tasks like eating and sleeping?
