lol I paid like $1300 a couple years ago for a 46" RCA 1080i. I fail again. I'll just wait until next year when there's hopefully crazy good deals on the 3D TVs. Just me and my RCA til then.

As for the PS3 deal, I'd definitely wait for something better.

How is that tv? My parents are looking for a 42"ish tv without fighting BF camp lines. It'll be there 1st HDTV and no games will be played on it...

That how my dad's 32 inch Sony Wega 1080i was i think he paid 1,400 at same club with a audio system 4 years ago.

My vizio ain't to bad though i paid 599.00 and its 498.00 but might re go up again after holiday to.

Its great i have dish network though most satellite company's i know don't broadcast in 1080P and games aren't native 1080p and since ive yet to rent or own a blue ray ive technically never seen 1080p native.

But for the quality and price you can't beat it if your just upgrading from a picture tube it be be a real difference and a good savings in your pocket. If possible though upgrade to the 120 hz and 47 inch can't beat 5 inches bigger and 120 refresh rate you would notice it in movies not games since their native to 60 hz.

Thanks for the info Needler, they got excited about a $30 rollback on a Walmart tv about a month ago and I told them to wait. This is like $150 cheaper and they'll prolly get excited and bite maybe they'll spend the same as they would have a month ago and get the 47" 120hz. I'll look around at some more reviews online and pass everything along to them. My parents are not techy at all, I doubt they'd even listen to me and pay $200 for just 5" more in their eyes. Hell they just got a DVD player last year and I still have to help program their VCR . :)

Everyone telling tv stories SOOOO: I've got a 52" Samsung ToC series 1080P 120hz I paid $1700 for about 2 years ago. It's currently dead again with the all to common clicking power supply. In front of it i've got my super trusty and first ever HDTV, a Olevia 32" 720p that I got probably 5-6 BFs ago from Kmart for like $350? That thing is a rock and seriously the best money i've ever spent. Main tv for years then became a computer monitor then bedroom tv and now back to main. :D

I just got the 26" Vizio 3 weeks ago. Do you think if I just take in my reciept they'd credit me the difference once the sale starts, or will I have to do a buy/return? By the time the sale starts, I will still be within 30 days of my original purchase.

If you brought it from walmart then you can return it for sure. You can probably even return it without the receipt for store credit cash for sure if you paid with a credit card/debit card.

A few months after my 42 inch vizio i brought a 22 inch 720p vizio to use as my computer monitor for 230.00 i returned it the next day.

Also got to price match a acer netbook for 199.99 and even brought it back the next day just to exchange the color from purple to blue.

So the vizio...26 inch seems to be good for me. This is only valid on Saturday and Sunday, right?

edit: How do you know this? I dont want to tell people and look stupid. I see the viore 22' for 198 so are you sure its the vizio we are talking about?

Dang, tv prices are so low now. I remember my first 26" Sanyo (bottom rung of the barrel) was like $600, then I upgraded to a 32" Sony for 1100 a few years later. Then got a Samsung plasma 42" for 750. A few weeks back..got a 46" Samsung LED 120hz for only $800...to be fair, it was at a discount store and we're friends with the owner, it listed for $1500
Any opinions on the 26" led vizio? I want it for my bedroom for my ps3.
I think that below 42 inches you won't notice the diff between 720 and 1080 and I see a lot of vizios in my work and I think there picture quality is pretty good

Sure is video games in here
love how the op posted a ps3 bundle type of deal and the thread was derailed to tvs

i would stay clear of Vizios unless their new technology or new sets of tvs have actually improved

BTW
46"+ = 1080p should be good
42"- = 720p should be good

Unless your a videophile your going to get a hell of a deal. Probably the most mainstream budget HDTV there is.

Pretty much the way they are marketed now they aren't even generic like your check cola to coke cola its a mainstream tv compared to lots of other budget HDTVs on the market. And the way most electronics become obsolete so quick you want to get the best bang for your buck. You don't want to be saying i paid 1,400 for a tv you can buy for $300.00 only 4 years later. You want to say i spent 599.99 and 4 years later its 299.99 like my PS3 get it ha ha lmao:booty::rofl::p

I mean once you have all your specs your refresh rate, contrast ratio, display format, resolution, response time, color depth once you match that up basically your just paying for the name and manufacturer of the TV. Which to me means i want a company in the middle not one that makes to many TVS to over charge or one that makes too little either where the quality is poor. After that you do the choosing i did and ended up with a vizio and I'm not complaining.

I had it in my cart this morning and it sold out before I could finish checkout. I didn't even make it that far at Amazon yesterday. It sold out in less than a minute. So, I drove to a local Wal-Mart this morning at 4:15. The televisions were on display in front of the electronics department with a sign that read $198.00. There were 6. The associate saw me looking and approached. He said, "I can sell em to ya now and there's no limit." We stacked 4 in the cart and he rang them up. I applied a $100 gc to the order. After that, it was $751.40. As I was leaving the manager came over and said, "The sale does not start until 8." I replied, "That is good to know. Thank you. Have a great weekend." Then I left. So, YMMV.
Really? How do you know? :)
Because I just got back from my walmart, walked in asked if the sale started, the guy said yeah. Got a cart, rung up, left. All in about 30 mins (with driving back and there included)

Good story bro.

i wonder if best buy sells these tv's i could maybe get a price match i have like 200 dollars store credit there

I apologize. I don't know. You may work there. You may be shopping for other items. You may not be waiting in line at all. :)

Let me rephrase my original statement.

Personally, I would hate to wait in line at Wal-Mart for several hours for a ticket to purchase an item. Especially when other Wal-Mart stores are not making people wait in lines or passing out tickets. If I were currently experiencing this predicament, I would perceive it to "suck", but that is just my view. :bouncy:
Good story bro.
Im not trying to brag, its only because of where I live that I was able to do that. Nobody ever is on any deals...yet I live in a college town. No sense to me.

Waiting in line is not my favorite thing to do but the people that were there gave me a good laugh so it wasn't terrible.

Doesn't WalMart sell 'stripped down' televisions? I remember shopping last year and I could not find the Sam's/Walmart model #'s at other stores... later learned that they sell wonky versions of what the other stores sell.

Well the plan was to scoop up one of the 26'' LED's for the bedroom. Got to walmart at about 8:05 waited in electronics to talk with someone since I didn't see them. Apparently they were doing this deal at the other end of the store where site-to-store was?? Maybe i missed it online or soemthing....but there were no signs or people at the entrance of the store indicating this, so wasn't too happy about that.

It taught me a valuable lesson in managing expectations at Walmart though haha. There will be more deals... just a bummer that I don't have it right now. I'm thinking it will be easier to snipe something online rather then go through the in person song and dance though
fucking misleading. I thought it was just the move bundle. Put console in the title.
fucking misleading. Put douchebag in your screen name.
