Does anyone know if walmart will let you exchange a movie WITHOUT a receipt?

i dont want a refund, i just want to exchange a DVD of no country for old men, for a BLU-RAY version (paying the difference of course). Its brand new and sealed, I got it as a gift tho so no receipt.

Please refrain from talk of Fraud...if you indeed did buy the movie from Wal-mart, give your store a call.

you MIGHT be able but they been cracking down on no reciept returns.

i would suggest find the person who gave you the dvd and ask for the reciept.

gift reciepts are great.

Like bigdaddy said, they have been cracking down on no receipt returns here lately, but they will still generally do it. They will make you give them your drivers license number though in order to track how many times you do it. Eventually their computers will tell them you can no longer return items without a receipt. I forget the exact number, but I think you get a certain amount per year.

That is assuming you/whoever bought it for you actually got it at Wal-Mart. Otherwise, don't be a douche.

You can return 3 items without a receipt within a six month window. So, in other words, if you make this return in June, then another in July, then another in August, you have to wait until December for the June return to roll off your record; then, you can make another return, which puts you back up to your threshhold of three. Now, you have to wait until January for the July return to roll off, and so on.
