I remember when Walmart.com ofered 97 cent shipping as an option for home delivery. I managed to order a few good items for cheap this way, rather than ordering elsewhere for higher shipping or driving to some store in the hope they'd have what I wanted.
Recently I tried to order somehting and wasn't given the option. I thought it was due to the item's size, being a larger item. Seems it isn't the case.
Basic shipping now costs several dollars, and "97 cent shipping" is just a section for older goods waiitng to be sold off. Even a lot of stuff that used to be listed with the option is not anymore.
Another little bit of good shopping goes down the drain.
They still offer Site To Store for free, but between the ultra-slow ship times, coupled with the fact that I had to stand around for half an hour waiting for my recent package to be retrieved from the back, it's just not worth it.
