Changing this to a FAQs for those that need some help getting these deals.


When I order online it shows X price for in store, but changes to Y price at checkout, what gives?
You can only do in store pickup for the clearance price if the item is available for pick up that day. If it isn't the price will be the online price instead. Sometimes the item will be shipped to that store if it is no longer at that store. It may adjust to the clearance price at pickup but it could also charge you full price for it.

Can I buy the item at one store and return / rebuy at another?
Yes but it is up to the stores discretion to allow you to get it for that stores in store price. If it is an online order, they are supposed to return it to the warehouse it came from so you will not be able to buy it back. It's YMMV on employees following this rule though.

Can I price match a Walmart clearance item at X store?
No. No store, including Walmart, PMs clearance prices. YMMV on getting PMs for these items but it is against every stores policy to do so.

I want to price match this clearance item at another Walmart, will they allow me to?
No WM (or any retailer) PMs the prices of other local stores.

BS said X of an item is in stock, but the employee said it isn't at my store, why did they lie to me?
They didn't. Sometimes items are misplaced, stolen, or the count is off. Employees are not all over the massive stock room nor do they know where every item is. Don't harass an employee or come on here saying they are keeping it for themselves. Sometimes, an item truly isn't in the store.

Why is BS always wrong?
BS is not wrong. Their information is directly from WM systems. Just like all stores, inventory and prices may be wrong for a certain store. Do not rely only on BS.

How do I find clearance items?
Go to the store and scan items, check SD, check this thread. Actually look for something you want.

Where in the store are clearance games located?

Clearance items in general can be on shelves, in dedicated clearance sections or in the stock room. For games specifically, they will be in the videogame glass cases, videogame value game isle or dedicated clearance section. It's random and depends on that stores layout / management.

What is the SKU or item number of this item?
Look it up yourself. There is a search function on this site, on BS site and you can Google the item almost 100% of the time. No one needs to spoon feed you this information and we shouldn't have 20 people asking for the same information that was already posted.


Acronyms to know.
WM = Walmart
PM = Price Match
TRU = Toysrus
BS = Brickseek
SD = Slickdeals

Likely 1 or two showing up are display models. Learned that the hard way last night in oc. They are not allowed to sell display models cause of some agreement with apple

We went for the minis in Long Beach and foothill they didn't have them. I assume since you're seeing one in Irvine they won't have it. Idk about von karman but the technology drive one wouldn't even let us do a return and rebuy for god eater since it got marked to $5 there

I don't think anyone has had any luck with a return rebuy at Walmart, although I would rather enjoy being proved wrong.
 
I did a return rebuy couple weeks ago on a couple Mario Sonic Rio Wii U. Bought it at a Walmart for $60 and return/rebuy for $25. The assistant manager was in the middle of processing the refund when the the manager came by and he did look too thrilled about it. Good thing it was in the middle of processing when he came by.
 
No iPad Air, fortunately the place they should be is right there in a cabinet instead of in the back like the tvs. So you know if they lieing or not. Lol
 
R&R is a crapshoot anyway, I just file price protection/rewind claim nowaday. Citi pretty lenient with anything under $100, a bit more scrutiny when any claim over $100 in differences is filed.

Struck out this weekend on the Samsung. Took the wife along and it was funny because she was sure the there was one and the guy was just waiting for us to leave to buy it. I tried to explain the feeling sorta goes away after awhile.
 
Got Tropico 5 XBO for $3.

Weird part is that this store was OOS last week, then somehow got another. Guy had to go to the back to find it for me.

Every store around me has it for $14.88, which is still a fair price. Not THAT fair, of course. :)

Had no idea the SW ones were still in stock, until I checked brickseek thanks 2 u. These were all back in the warehouse instead of displayed out on the floor. Uncharted controller was $39 here but somehow reverted back to regular $59.96 price in the last few weeks, got 1 for me on BF for $39. There's 1 Uncharted & 5 SW left. And 0% nationwide availability for the CoD BO3 controller in case someone was gonna look that up on brickseek. Besides the 20th Anniversary controller (also brought 1 on BF for $39 lol), were there any other limited edition ones that Sony released?

The touchpad is really nice, says Star Wars on it instead of the repeating dots =)

Dang I want one but idk if the round trip is worth it for just the controller. What are some other clearance things I can look for? I think I checked the iPad Air and Samsung TV and neither there or around.

Went to store near me yesterday that showed 2 iPads in stock. Talked to department manager and she said they hadn't carried that model since before Christmas. Idk if she was being truthful or not. She wouldn't open the case to show me.

Brickseek was showing 6 of the black ones, but they only had a single one with the Green and Blue bands in the locked cabinet. My wife had been asking for a Blaze, but I think she likes this one better now since she got it for a great price. Thanks!

I got lied to as well. Dude said "we don't have any iPads" then I got him to open the case, which was packed with iPads, he scanned them and said it's retail. I said how much? Retail. Damn liar got them all I bet.

That's when you say ok I will take it. Guys don't do all the work for someone else.
 
Tell them to bring it to the register. If it comes up full price when they scan it, say you changed your mind and don't want it. They're Walmart workers, don't let them bully you or blatantly lie to you for their own benefit.

Also, none of my stores ever have ANY of these items in stock. No iPads, no TVs, no Fitbits, not even the Wii U. So if you find some, you better jump on them for my sake.

3-4 stores around me had at least one mini. I didn't want it bad enough to look. 80 is a good deal but it's still money I can't spend.

What a con artist. What you should have done is download the walmart app. You can search stock of specific stores and what the price is in that store. The app would have told you if they had that specific ipad for the discounted price. That way you could have called the employee out for his his bullshit. With how you worded your story it sounds so fishy that I guarantee he lied to you and bought them all for himself.

I did. Even showed it to him. He obviously lying. I was there for beer and baby formula and just checked on it. If I'd wanted one I'd have called manager or somewhat.

The longer you ponder this question the higher the chance that a rival CAG, slickdealer, ElHoardo, or employee will snatched them up. You could buy first and ponder later. Or just be kind to your wallet and forget about it and move on to something you actually need.

CAG is a drug. You don't need it but you want it. I'm an addict

Store near me said 12 Darth Vader controllers. Lady helped me but we couldn't find them anywhere. She even knew what I was talking about. 12 is a big inventory discrepancy though.

you say Ok I will buy one, let him do the whole checkout and once it shows the final screen for you to swipe your card then you say dang I forgot my visa on the other wallet/home/etc (if its not the price you want), say thanks and leave.

I had to run out an hour ago, so I dropped by the other Walmart and grabbed a second SW controller and found a 16GB Vita memory card for $5. Upon getting home, I remember that I sold my Vita last year.   :wall:  I'f anyone needs one, I'm up for trading it.

They also have a 12GB PS3 Infinity 2.0 bundle ($99, I think) and several 500GB super slim PS3s.  I almost picked the Infinity bundle, but I really dislike the super slim PS3s, and already have a regular slim PS3 that just collects dust anyways.
