Changing this to a FAQs for those that need some help getting these deals.

When I order online it shows X price for in store, but changes to Y price at checkout, what gives?
You can only do in store pickup for the clearance price if the item is available for pick up that day. If it isn't the price will be the online price instead. Sometimes the item will be shipped to that store if it is no longer at that store. It may adjust to the clearance price at pickup but it could also charge you full price for it.

Can I buy the item at one store and return / rebuy at another?
Yes but it is up to the stores discretion to allow you to get it for that stores in store price. If it is an online order, they are supposed to return it to the warehouse it came from so you will not be able to buy it back. It's YMMV on employees following this rule though.

Can I price match a Walmart clearance item at X store?
No. No store, including Walmart, PMs clearance prices. YMMV on getting PMs for these items but it is against every stores policy to do so.

I want to price match this clearance item at another Walmart, will they allow me to?
No WM (or any retailer) PMs the prices of other local stores.

BS said X of an item is in stock, but the employee said it isn't at my store, why did they lie to me?
They didn't. Sometimes items are misplaced, stolen, or the count is off. Employees are not all over the massive stock room nor do they know where every item is. Don't harass an employee or come on here saying they are keeping it for themselves. Sometimes, an item truly isn't in the store.

Why is BS always wrong?
BS is not wrong. Their information is directly from WM systems. Just like all stores, inventory and prices may be wrong for a certain store. Do not rely only on BS.

How do I find clearance items?
Go to the store and scan items, check SD, check this thread. Actually look for something you want.

Where in the store are clearance games located?

Clearance items in general can be on shelves, in dedicated clearance sections or in the stock room. For games specifically, they will be in the videogame glass cases, videogame value game isle or dedicated clearance section. It's random and depends on that stores layout / management.

What is the SKU or item number of this item?
Look it up yourself. There is a search function on this site, on BS site and you can Google the item almost 100% of the time. No one needs to spoon feed you this information and we shouldn't have 20 people asking for the same information that was already posted.

Acronyms to know.
WM = Walmart
PM = Price Match
TRU = Toysrus
BS = Brickseek
SD = Slickdeals

Thanks for looking out. I would need it to be able to play pretty much all of the free games Epic and Twitch Prime have been giving away and I doubt that one would be able to. I have been looking at some used local ones and I can find some for around $500 but they are all at least 5 years old and I'd want a newer one obviously. Some of these people are delusional with what they are asking for such old laptops. I see some that are 8 and 9 years old and they want $800 for them. I'll keep hoping I can find a clearance one at Walmart or somewhere else. I also might just divide the money up and get a non gaming laptop and a PC that is powerful enough for what games I want to play on it. I see some good deals on barely used and fairly new non gaming laptops locally.
I’m kinda in a similar situation. I’m a ACMT/ACIT certified technician, but there are certain things that you just HAVE to do on Windows, so I’m looking for a cheap PC laptop w/ a decent display that I can put an SSD and upgraded RAM into for some basic tasks, and even some light gaming when inspiration hits. I won’t sully my MacBook Pro by installing Windows on it via Boot Camp. [emoji4]

Just do the opposite and visit SD for some deals. There are a few that come out every so often, like this one that has a good graphics card:

Acer - Nitro 5 15.6" Laptop - AMD Ryzen 5 - 8GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 - 256GB SSD - Obsidian Black

It's also better to get one that already has the graphics card and then upgrade the RAM and SSD as you need them, instead of finding a small form factor graphics card that fits your laptop.

I haven't seen much that's any good at Walmart. Overpowered/their rebrand are sometimes available, and those are the best you'll find there.  Usually the clearance laptops are very basic and aren't suitable for gaming. They'll have good desktops on clearance because more Walmart shoppers buy the laptops.

Apple products cost an arm and a leg, so you shouldn't have trouble spending less for a much better OS and UI...

My "New" 2DS XL is coming on Saturday after two days of processing. I'm glad that it wasn't cancelled, it seems like a lot of people are having their orders cancelled, and I have seen articles saying that Nintendo has quietly discontinued the console.

Mine shipped and will be here next week so I am happy. People already posted in thread a while ago that the 2ds stopped production so what's left is it. Thus why so many people are trying to get one on top of the current situation as odds are this is the lowest they will go new (unless you get very lucky on awd and find a dinger) and they will go up in price I am sure after this point forward.

I know I said I was going to stay away for awhile, but this place is like heroin to me and if I'm going to be "working from home" for who knows how long, I want to make sure I get in on some cheap shit! I also wanted to thank everyone for the kind words earlier in the thread: it sounds cheesy as hell, but I am desperately trying to see the positive side of things for the benefit of my wife and two young daughters. In any case, I tried to consolidate the last few pages of deals that everyone was reporting on. This first price is the MSRP and the marked down price is the lowest price I've seen listed, either what others have reported or what I've seen personally in my local area. Please let me know if I missed anything in particular or if you find a better price somewhere near you and I'll edit this post with the updated information. Credit, as always, goes to the original posters; I'm also going to start keeping these link dumps in spoiler tags to at least ATTEMPT to prevent lurkers from getting the goods without putting in any work. Without further ado, here's what I found this time:

Stay well, fellow CAGs!
Was able to find Hyrule warriors definitive for 19 thanks a lot.

Local store had 1-2 Switch and Paper Mario. I grabbed those.

Considered Bayo 2, but I have it on Wii U. Might hope it drops lower than $29.

Couple of the other games were in stock, but nothing else I really wanted.

It has to be a 17 inch laptop. I tried a 15.6 inch and I took it back. I can't have anything smaller.
For keyboard size or screen? I find the difference to be minimal, though I've had issues with more easily cracked screens on 17" laptops. They'll cost a bit more anyway, and you'll also have to watch out for blur if the resolution is too low on the budget models. Integrated GPUs with a larger screen usually lead to slightly blurry text. That's one area where the more expensive Macbooks shine, the screens look great.

I think you were posting a few months ago in the Steam thread about wanting one. If memory serves from recent years, the old model clearance will start either this month or next to make way for newer back-to-school laptops. Overpowered is good for the price. Good luck.

Got my first 3 cent game. Farming Simulator 17. Don't know why I want it. Just never had a 3 cent game work out before. I'm finally a real CAG...

I've been disappointed by BS's numbers too many times that unless it's close to me or on the way to where I'm going anyway. I just don't bother anymore.

Sure enough, nothing here. Also striking out on finding any games at Dollar Tree.

Have we got any real confirmation on if you can use more than one of those Destiny 2 PS Plus codes? There's a few copies here I'm thinking of getting.

I have a coworker who’s super into Destiny, but he kinda confused me when he told me that it’s technically a free-to-play game now, but some of the DLC is paid? At what price point would it be worth it to pick up the Forsaken Collection? There’s a Walmart not too far away from me that has over 10 copies and sells them for $3 each. Is that all of the DLC or is there another expansion they didn’t release on disc?

Found a copy of Dragon Quest Builders 2 for the Switch for $29 at my Walmart. Hell of a deal, haven’t seen it that low yet

That is worth it for $3. It gets you the game on disc plus first annual pass and Forsaken expansion. The latest Shadowkeep is like $20-$30 I believe and does not include previous content.

Not to be that guy, but I'd pay $3 + tax PayPal for the DLC code(s) if you don't mind picking me up a copy while you're there.
I assume it's just the vanilla disc and codes anyway.

I went back to the store today, and decided to grab WarioWare Gold and Kirby Battle Royale.

BS showed 0 stock of either one. It’s been wrong for me several times lately.

Just an FYI about the 2DS XL. The micro SD card that it comes with is very tiny. So, if you want to buy additional digital games, you'll need a bigger micro SD card. Apparently 32gb is the official limit. Mario Kart 7 that comes with the console takes up practically the entire card. And, other games like Animal Crossing New Leaf are too big for the included micro SD card.

You can put the biggest SD card you can find into the 3DS and it will work, it just requires you format it as FAT32. The biggest install file I have is apparently Xenoblade Chronicles 3D @ 3.7Gb and most of the pokemons are pretty high.

Oh cool, thanks for the tips. I just wish that I had a PC so that I could format the card. I got a 64gb card for a decent deal at Best Buy, and it's being delivered this week. I was expecting to only be able to use half of it, so hopefully I can find a way to format it.

Hmm, if you don't have a PC or Mac to format it you could maybe try an digital / security camera that uses SD cards that would likely format it into FAT32.

Yes, you can use more than one PS plus 30 day code. Just used a second code this morning with no issues.

I have Mario Kart 7 downloaded and it's 5081 blocks, which converts to ~635MB. As far as I know Nintendo has always supplied 4GB cards so MK7 alone should not take up "practically the entire card". Resident Evil Revelations on the other hand.....

Cards over 32GB generally come pre-formatted with the exFAT file system, which the 3DS does not support, hence the reason for the 'official' limit being 32GB. As it has to do with a compatible file system it would have to be reformatted as FAT32 regardless in order to work.

What you’re saying is true but it can be reformatted to work on the 3DS.

Yeah I know, if I recall correctly I have a 128GB installed in mine. It's overkill for me as I generally go for physical games instead but it was cheap enough so I figured what the hell.

I've had my original 3DS since around the time that it first came out, and I was using a 32 gb SD card. When I transferred all of the eShop games that I owned including the DSi and 3DS eShop games that I had purchased during all that time, the folder was only 14 gb.

So, most people could probably use a 32 gb micro SD card on one of these 2DS XL systems and not run out of room.

Found an epic mickey collector's edition wii for $20. Not familiar with it but never seen one in the wild. Looks like it has the 2 disc game, statue, and some sticker graphics.

They had a 360 Kinect game for $1 and some other common stuff I've seen similar clearance priced around my stores.

It's been awhile since I've seen the epic Mickey collectors edition but if memory serves me correctly, I believe there is a statue/figure inside that is very fragile. You may want to give it a little shake and see if it sounds broken

Nothing seems loose inside. Surprised it doesn't have the brush controller included?

It's pretty easy to do. Here's a link that explains how to do it, but the systems will give you instructions. You also have to have both systems connected to the Internet while the transfer is happening.

https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/227/~/how-to-transfer-content-between-nintendo-3ds%2C-nintendo-3ds-xl%2C-and-nintendo-2ds

But I would make sure that you keep both systems' chargers plugged in while completing the transfer, and it's better to transfer the games from your SD card on the old 3DS to the microSD card on the new 2DS XL using your PC. Just copy the folder from the SD card on the microSD card, and you'll be fine. It's a lot faster than using the wireless option unless you have all day to sit there and watch the system transfer.

Once you transfer the data and profile from your old 3DS to the new 2DS XL, the old 3DS will go back to its factory settings and it will be removed from your Nintendo Network ID for good. Your account will be transferred over to the new 2DS XL along with your Nintendo Network ID.

Where are you finding the clearance hard drives in the store? Are they with the normal priced storage drives or somewhere else?
