Changing this to a FAQs for those that need some help getting these deals.

When I order online it shows X price for in store, but changes to Y price at checkout, what gives?
You can only do in store pickup for the clearance price if the item is available for pick up that day. If it isn't the price will be the online price instead. Sometimes the item will be shipped to that store if it is no longer at that store. It may adjust to the clearance price at pickup but it could also charge you full price for it.

Can I buy the item at one store and return / rebuy at another?
Yes but it is up to the stores discretion to allow you to get it for that stores in store price. If it is an online order, they are supposed to return it to the warehouse it came from so you will not be able to buy it back. It's YMMV on employees following this rule though.

Can I price match a Walmart clearance item at X store?
No. No store, including Walmart, PMs clearance prices. YMMV on getting PMs for these items but it is against every stores policy to do so.

I want to price match this clearance item at another Walmart, will they allow me to?
No WM (or any retailer) PMs the prices of other local stores.

BS said X of an item is in stock, but the employee said it isn't at my store, why did they lie to me?
They didn't. Sometimes items are misplaced, stolen, or the count is off. Employees are not all over the massive stock room nor do they know where every item is. Don't harass an employee or come on here saying they are keeping it for themselves. Sometimes, an item truly isn't in the store.

Why is BS always wrong?
BS is not wrong. Their information is directly from WM systems. Just like all stores, inventory and prices may be wrong for a certain store. Do not rely only on BS.

How do I find clearance items?
Go to the store and scan items, check SD, check this thread. Actually look for something you want.

Where in the store are clearance games located?

Clearance items in general can be on shelves, in dedicated clearance sections or in the stock room. For games specifically, they will be in the videogame glass cases, videogame value game isle or dedicated clearance section. It's random and depends on that stores layout / management.

What is the SKU or item number of this item?
Look it up yourself. There is a search function on this site, on BS site and you can Google the item almost 100% of the time. No one needs to spoon feed you this information and we shouldn't have 20 people asking for the same information that was already posted.

Acronyms to know.
WM = Walmart
PM = Price Match
TRU = Toysrus
BS = Brickseek
SD = Slickdeals

No stock around me... hold off for more clearance with the new systems/accessories coming in vs stop being Scrooge McDuck and spend the extra $20 to move on with my life

found a store near me that showed wasteland 3 for $15 in stock on brickseek. full price in store though
Similar to me. Went the next town over yesterday because Brickseek showed 2-3 in stock at $15. No where to be seen though. Brickseek is still showing them so they must be hiding in the back.

For anyone near Eastlake and middlefield in ohio they have them in stock at the former for black and limited stock at the latter for blue.
Both are like 40ish minutes away from me so tempting...I have wanted to see what Middlefield clearance is like since it's in the sticks...

Is it normal for Walmart to revert clearance prices back to full price or whatever price they had it at? This is the first I'm ever hearing of price reversion
I used to work at Walmart, it's pretty common for an item to drop in price then a day or 2 later it gets raised back up. There are daily price changes in all departments. It's really stupid and it used to drive me nuts when I had to do changes that I just did a few days before.

As crazy as it sounds, these were in the locked case. I’ve never been handed a game to take to the front from there, even in an anti theft case. They always ring me out in the back
Then tell that associate you have more shopping to do and ask them to put it in an anti-theft case for you or have the employee walk it up to self-checkout. You gotta find some way to not let that electronics employee scan a 0.03 game, think it’s an error, and refuse to sell it to you. They can’t make you pay in electronics if you have more shopping to do, just request it be taken to self-checkout

This may be old news but I went to Walmart last night for something else and they had one of the Mario kart games unadvertised in stock. It rang up $90. Just a heads up to everyone if you are looking for one.

I've seen 0.03 shelf tags...this is probably very ymmv depending on location and/or staff.

Found Bloodstained Ritual of the Night ps4 in the clearance games marked at $13.00 but rang up as $4.00. Also bought Shadow of the Colossus at $13, rang up as $13.

North Texas walmart.

Looks to be $4 at most of the stores around me as well in KY (for the ones that still even have it in stock), so probably a good chance to find it for anyone still wanting a copy.

I have but not cubes at Walmart. Tv entertainment center shelves and book shelves I have gotten a few times from Walmart for 15 to 22 bucks.

Cubes I've found at big lots on clearance. Got 2 prebuilt for 14 each was pretty happy with it.

They have enough space for 2 rows of games. 4 for ds/3ds games.

Check your local discount furniture shops. Often times they'll have stuff with a scratch for cheap. I got $400 entertainment center with a 2" scratch for $70

My walmart had another round of clearance switch games:

New Super Lucky's tale $15

Terraria $10

Super Dragon Ball Heroes $10

American Ninja Warrior $10

Ooh a single Walmart pretty close to me claims to have 6+ copies of Captain Tsubasa on PS4 for $20.

Gonna take the trip since I have nothing else to do, actually nearly brought the game at MSRP so it'd be a pretty hype grab

EDIT: Mission success! Got a copy and also found a stray copy of Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story for 15. Didn't even show up on brickseek for that store

Had to stop by a Walmart to get some toiletries and swung by electronics to see what was there. Struck out on both editions of Apex Legends for $0.03 despite Brickseek claiming they were in stock (many thanks to the helpful and knowledgeable employee who went out of her way to find a Zebra to verify the count was off and physically check the back to confirm they weren’t there), but I did pick up the following:
:pS4:
Man of Medan - $4
https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=578716484
:switch:
New Super Lucky’s Tale - $15
https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=661173732
Ni No Kuni - $10

Terraria - $10

My local store is moving around electronics to clear space for PS5/XSX (I think).

The Arcade1up machines are still clogging up space and now, they have them thrown in two places in electronics.

Hoping they start dropping them down...

Yas. All NSW, I got 4 copies of Ni No Kuni for $10 each, 2 Owlboys and 1 Sine Mora for $4 each. All Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephews.

Oooh that's a great idea. I'll have to swing by a walmart and grab one for my niece. I got her the animal crossing switch for xmas and been thinking about what games to get her. Cheap means an easy pick up and even if she doesn't like it then it's whatever.

Went to Walmart (Clovis CA, Herndon/Clovis) and picked up the following:

:xb1: Crackdown 3 $5

:ps4: My Hero One's Justice 2 $15

:ps4: Marvel's Iron Man VR $15

:switch: Sine Mora EX $4

:switch: Owlboy $4

:switch: Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Owltimate Edition $4

:switch: Titan Quest $4

:switch: Ni No Kuni $10

:switch: Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden $4

:switch: de Blob $4

Left behind the following:

:switch: WWE2K Battlegrounds $10

:ps4: Captain Tsubasa $20

:ps4: Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris $20

:ps4: Persona 5 Royale $20

:ps4: Quantic Dream Collection $15

:ps4: Outer Worlds $5

:ps4: Rocket Arena $1 (Sold Out but saw the Price Tag)

:ps4: Ghost Recon Breakpoint $5

:switch: Tsum Tsum Festival $10

:switch: Portal Knights $4

:xb1: Civilization VI $10

:xb1: Ace Combat 7 $5

It's too bad I broke down and bought both SAO & Tsubasa on eBay for $35 each after coming up empty last week, but tonight's haul more than made up for it...

I got Jump Force (PS4) for $5. Also saw Borderlands 3 (PS4) for $5. The employee working electronics immediately stickered the prices back to $20 afterwards.

That's a dick move. It's $5 because corporate priced it as such or a manager override it to that price. He sees the price and decides to overstep corporate and the electrics department manager because he thinks the price is too low. What an ass.

Add one more to the mix.  Had to watch the electronics clerk ring it up twice to make sure the price was correct.

:ps4: Dragon Ball FighterZ $5

Left some behind as well:

:xb1: Desperados III $15

:ps4: Just Cause 4 $5

Nothing was stickered or said anything about clearance at the walmart I went to. Picked up sine mora switch for $4, I asked the lady to check the price and rang up as $4 , owlboy was 19.99, she was very friendly she was kind enough to offer me to check all the prices on every switch game if I wanted. Saw but did not pick because I already own it my friend pedro switch for $4

Thanks to all posting what they found!  I was finally able to get in on New Super Lucky's Tale for a good price!  Been looking for that for quite a while.

Ended up getting (All for Switch):

New Super Lucky's Tale - $15

Tsum Tsum Festival - $10

Terraria - $10

American Ninja Warrior - $10

Saw but already had:

Roman Rumble in Las Vegum: Asterix and Obelisk XXL - $10

These were all unmarked or marked full price, which is probably why I was able to get them.

This is the type of employee that blows my mind. The ones who hide clearance items and deny sales so that they can buy deals instead... I get it. It's genuinely shitty behavior, no doubt, but I at least understand why they do it.

But this type of incident, where Walmart associates act like they work on commission, is so bizarre. My only explanation is that it has to do with the quarterly bonuses. When I worked there, Walmart LOVED to hold those bonuses over the associates' heads, and acted like any sort of loss would affect the bonus. Some employees end up getting overzealous as a result, and act like any customer getting a deal at their store is taking money out of tHe BoOoOoNuS. Maybe that's what happened here, but hell, I've been out of Walmart so long that they might not even have the bonuses anymore.

In other news, I'm keeping a close eye on Bowser's Inside Story (3DS), and more stores are steadily dropping it to $15. If you're not seeing that deal locally yet, check back periodically. Same goes for Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn, but that one seems to be sold out at most stores now.

I’ve legitimately never understood employees w/ this mindset. Like, do they know if their employer found someone to work just as hard as them for a dollar less an hour, they’d get replaced immediately? Them playing price god has no bearings on their pay or job security...it’s just a prick move.
