Changing this to a FAQs for those that need some help getting these deals.


When I order online it shows X price for in store, but changes to Y price at checkout, what gives?
You can only do in store pickup for the clearance price if the item is available for pick up that day. If it isn't the price will be the online price instead. Sometimes the item will be shipped to that store if it is no longer at that store. It may adjust to the clearance price at pickup but it could also charge you full price for it.

Can I buy the item at one store and return / rebuy at another?
Yes but it is up to the stores discretion to allow you to get it for that stores in store price. If it is an online order, they are supposed to return it to the warehouse it came from so you will not be able to buy it back. It's YMMV on employees following this rule though.

Can I price match a Walmart clearance item at X store?
No. No store, including Walmart, PMs clearance prices. YMMV on getting PMs for these items but it is against every stores policy to do so.

I want to price match this clearance item at another Walmart, will they allow me to?
No WM (or any retailer) PMs the prices of other local stores.

BS said X of an item is in stock, but the employee said it isn't at my store, why did they lie to me?
They didn't. Sometimes items are misplaced, stolen, or the count is off. Employees are not all over the massive stock room nor do they know where every item is. Don't harass an employee or come on here saying they are keeping it for themselves. Sometimes, an item truly isn't in the store.

Why is BS always wrong?
BS is not wrong. Their information is directly from WM systems. Just like all stores, inventory and prices may be wrong for a certain store. Do not rely only on BS.

How do I find clearance items?
Go to the store and scan items, check SD, check this thread. Actually look for something you want.

Where in the store are clearance games located?

Clearance items in general can be on shelves, in dedicated clearance sections or in the stock room. For games specifically, they will be in the videogame glass cases, videogame value game isle or dedicated clearance section. It's random and depends on that stores layout / management.

What is the SKU or item number of this item?
Look it up yourself. There is a search function on this site, on BS site and you can Google the item almost 100% of the time. No one needs to spoon feed you this information and we shouldn't have 20 people asking for the same information that was already posted.


Acronyms to know.
WM = Walmart
PM = Price Match
TRU = Toysrus
BS = Brickseek
SD = Slickdeals

because you're the person asking someone to trade you again for something you might just be trading in again because the value is better than what you have?  at this point cut your losses and trade in what you have if you dont want it, if you traded for a game to get it once why should anyone do it again.  they could have sold it/traded it for the better value themselves instead of helping out someone who abused their help.

Personally I've read trade requests here (as opposed to the actual trade threads) under the assumption that people are trying to acquire 1 copy to personally use.  A couple of cags have really helped me out in the past with that.  Beyond that, pretty much everyone here knows how to profit off multiples and can trade things into gs themselves.

I know CAG is full of people just like me that’s willing to help but there’s always the critical you’re wrong I’m right types.

At this point you should probably just trade dmc into gs and buy nioh as dmc is worth less than nioh.

This. because at this point no one can trust you aren't just trading it to get more GS money. that's the point is all. not attacking, just saying how it's going to be perceived.

What did you do to get banned for a year? I thought it was normally 90 days at the most

Random ban. I went in one day with some trades, had Jrd ask me questions about the games as if I didn’t play them yet I did and talked through them. Went back in the next day because he forgot a game and when I tried to vanilla trade it then I was banned. The jrd looked obviously guilty of reporting me for whatever reason. There was nothing sus about the trade I had at the time, and very little trade activity beforehand. Then it lasted well over a year. The DM and I hate one another which is why I’m trying to stay away from obvious banable trade situations.

I really wasn’t expecting that perception. I just wanted to trade the extra DMC here in exchange for NIOH or something else. I could always go the .com route and price adjust in store but I figured swap here first. It’s fine man on your behalf no offense taken.

Just found a NIOH 2 in the back of the case of Walmart. It was partially open. It seems like Christmas was yesterday in this location. No attempt to clean whatsoever.

Were the Arctis 7p sets on clearance before, or was it just the 7x? I found a couple of pairs at my local store, but brickseek doesn’t have any information for them and the Walmart app tells me my store doesn’t sell them… I didn’t get them price checked when I was there but they were tagged at full price

Just a heads up for the future there is a way to delete your posts. On mobile tap your post and select "hide" and then type in why. On desktop there is the hide button under your signature to hide your post. Doing this essentially deletes your post as only mods can see them.
 
Yep, Dragon quest VII and 3ds games. Also got Lego Ninjago (.03) and Super Smash Bros for 3ds ($5). Lucky as hell for that.

They were busy and got back to them a day or two later from what I recall during the trade discussion. It was a long time users account in that situation who hadn't been as active recently.

One of my local Walmarts moved all the Switch games to the back, apparently someone broke the glass case about a week ago and made off with a bunch of games.
