Works like a charm

1. goto avatar maker
2. goto personal features (eyes, nose, hair)
3. spin your right thumbstick for about 60 seconds
4. the hair feature will spin, click on it and you'll get pink hair
5. click on what hairstyle you want
6. click on any unnatural hair color you want

Don't bother with spinning the right stick. Just don't touch the controller for 60 seconds and the hair icon will start spinning. Click A and your hair turns pink and you can then choose from all the other colors.
