Watch out: EB/GS/GC all sell open games as new from time to time...
Getting the 'complete game' ended when Gamestop bought Electronics Boutique. EB guaranteed all current gen used games to be complete. It was a sad, sad day when that all ended. Oldtimers here will fondly remember the morning update.
yeah i do remember this. i used to go to manhattan mall where they have that little EB next to the KBToys and see alot of the games with cases and everything else included in it. those are great times. and then theres that Funcoland on the top level where they wont let you touch any of their video games. i have never bought a single game from that store ever.

edit: if everyone is really really pissed off about this new gutted games, someone should post it up on wikipedia.

I will never buy from GameStop because of this. It has happened to me twice where I ask for a game new and they start ringing up an opened game with GameStop stickers all over it. I tell them I would like it new, and they say well it is new… we just opened it to put it on display. I say never mind and tell them I don't want it if it is not new. At that point they looked at me like I did not understand something and gave such attitude (a GameStop employee being an ass?). Yeah, no matter how much corporate wants you to do this, it is still cruddy business practice and I am surprised Microsoft or Sony does not have a problem with this. I wonder if that is the reason they have done away with seals on the games.

This has gotten even worse at EB / GS now. I ordered Untold Legends for PS# new right after the price drop. The game came in the mail with no shrink rap and one of their seal stickers on the front. I know this happens in store but coming from the warehouse like this is ridiculus.
