Just got this email and thought I'd share (site link):

I've never participated in this before, so maybe someone else can comment on whether or not it's worthwhile.
I don;t think it was ever gone lol. It's too bad they never update their selection :/
Really? That's hilarious

Yeah, it never stopped. And the selection hasn't changed with the exception of shows. The only thing I'm eyeing is the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I'm not sure if I'd need a DVD for each Blu is in the set though. =S

They also don't care what the DVD disc is, save a burned disc or porn, so if you have a multi-DVD TV season set you'd be replaced with a BluRay version, use discs out of that set for multiple items.

Otherwise, see if a Dollar Tree has DVDs if you have one near by and use one of those discs.

Think of the same rules as Upgrade & Save @ BB, though without the need of the cases.
You cant slip them HD-DVD's can you?
If this was Red2Blu, then yes, you could. They're no longer doing that, so that won't work.

Yeah, shrike. I know what to use.... I just wasn't sure how many they would need for a set. Well, that's good to hear. I think I hit the "limit" for the program a few years back but I doubt they even care since they get money for it either way. I got a bunch of 50 cent DVDs from the dollar store from my last DVD2Blu order. I'll probably do the same thing again.

Also, it seems they DID add some more Blus here. I see about 6-9 or so new movies since I last checked a few months ago. Just hit "SHOW ALL" and you'll see them.

And ajh, they used to have red2blu.com but now it seems to have merged with dvd2blu.

Yeah, this was never gone unless they closed the site for 2 weeks after I looked two weeks ago, haha. Went on then to see if they added anything new.

Meh, most of the movies I would have gotten I already got on Blu normally. Only title I would consider is Chuck, and from what I hear it looks worse on Blu.

Wait - so you trade them 1 DVD per Blu-Ray to get the Blu-Ray for the $4.95, $6.95, $14.95, whatever the price is listed on that site right? I assume that's why they are listing prices next to everything. It's not simply you give them a DVD for a Blu-Ray and that's it and you don't have to pay anything for it right.

Did you even read the OP?

This could deal could be great, but currently it sucks!

Why on earth would they do an even swap of dvd for blu? They'd be out of business in no time... There is also a shipping fee most of the time, which is waived if you order enough titles

As for the new list, most decent ones on there I already have, and in some cases paid less for it. At least it is something new for them...

Well on the FAQ and rules it didn't say anything about paying and just swapping, I thought it was too good to be true but had to ask to be sure.

so just to be clear i can send in any dvd as long as its not a burned dvd? it no longer has to match the movie title you are getting the blu ray for?

Correct. I've even heard people saying that you can send in a digital copy disc, but the official site doesn't say. I don't think WB really cares much as they're probably just trashing them anyway

Even with the "Any DVD" rule, only the TV shows are on interest, and you can get them for the same prices off of eBay and Amazon.
