Weak cable signal

Hey guys not sure if this is the right forum. Needed some advice on my cable. I have a cable modem and 2 digital boxes running through a single splitter from the main cable wire. One of the boxes now doesn't receive the signal. Do I need to get an amplifier for one of the wires or is the cable just split too much. And what would you guys recommend I get to improve my signal

Go get a amp and put connect it between the spliter and the main cable

Call the cable company. They can adjust the power levels.

Yea, I called them about the weak cable signal and I think they up'd the signal strength. Thx guys, I will close the thread now.
