Website Creation

I have no experience creating a website, but need to get one done. Can anyone help me out with some easy tools or programs to help me out with this. Not worried about hosting, just creation.

It is a website for a team I coach, I was unsure if I was going to do HTML or if there was something easier.

Well HTML is the standard language for any website. You can use scripting languages to do things too, but the page itself will be HTML. You should try a wysiwyg(what you see is what you get) editor. That would be the easiest way for someone not familiar with manually coding a page.

Adobe's Dreamweaver makes it really easy to code and see the results as you go.
