Has anyone seen the Orange Box on a CC shelf yet?

The in-store availability checker went straight from "Not currently available" to "Out of stock" for all stores in my area.

bestbuy.com shows it as unavailable at all stores too.
 
RotJ the same thing happened in my area. We could assume its either "Out of Stock" or its just not in their system yet. Might get in it sometime this morning. At least thats what I'm hoping. CC isnt getting very many copies of The Orange Box on PC from the sounds. I was calling all last night around the south bay for the damn game.

I'm just gonna go to frys when they open i think.

I'm glad the adman's here because even if the ads aren't that far in advance as Speedy's were, he's still risking his ass in the same way. So either thank the man for the work or don't look at these threads.
 
If a store advertises an insane price on a game that can't be found at any of their locations - including online - it makes me wonder if they're using very questionable advertising practices.

Best Buy probably doesn't have them in stock because they're afraid of having to match the CC ad!
 
I went to my CC (New York, Queens, Rego Park) just a couple minutes ago and they told me that they didn't receive the Orange Box (PC) yet. I was told they may receive in later today. I'm going to check 2 more CCs later today in Manhattan.

Don't bother yet, I was just at the two upper/midtown ones and neither had them yet. Got the same story about them not receiving them and possibly getting them in later today.
 
Just got back from CC. Looks like they're in stock finally. There were two left when I checked out, and the two guys in line with me each had one as well. Was very surprised, because I only went there to pick up a flyer and possibly try price matching it elsewhere!

EDIT: Oops. Should mention I'm in the Columbus, OH area and this was the Polaris CC.

Shipment hasn't been received yet at Fairfax, VA CC. They were even out of circulars to PM at BB.
 
All CC around Boston don't have any. Luckily I was able to get one at BB (had to have the clerk check the back because they wernt on the shelves, hmmm... wonder why) and got it pm'd without a problem. This was at the BB in Everett for anyone that's curious.

I went around 3:00pm - 4:00pm today to the CC at 52 East 14th Street and they got like 10-15 copies of the Orange Box on shelves of the computer games section. Better get them soon! I saw some guy carry off with 2 copies. Good luck to you!
 
My local CC didn't have the Orange Box out on the shelves when I went there at 1pm today. I asked about it at the Customer Service desk and after a few minutes an employee dug one out of a box. I'd guess they came late.

The guy who posts them is on vacation. The other people who got the ads, they got them from DVDTalk. If you haven't noticed, the people supplying those ads (and Speedy before them) were banned from DVDT.

So, there's your answer. The people who could supply the ads otherwise can't. And the other people who would supply the ads otherwise won't because of the ramifications.

Try showing a little more respect for the risks these people take to get us the information early instead of being annoyed when you can't have them when you want, how you want.

Would serve us all right if we never got them again.

I just want see Deals next week, early like every week before... but I DO respect if people don't want to get fired at their jobs, etc...
