Something weird has just begun to happen.

My USB cord no longer charges my PS4 controller....

A while back, I bought a 10ft charging cable so that I could charge while I game...

About two weeks ago, I took my controller to a friends how to play on their system.. synced it up to their system and played fine. When I got home, I plugged it into the cord... and turned the system on.

Usually this links the controller back to the console, but this time nothing happened. After Syncing it back to my console (using a 4ft cord), I plugged the usual charge cable in to see that it's not charging.. while the battery has not gone down.. it's not going up either.

It's just static, as if it's giving the controller just enough juice to always be active, but not actually charging it.

I've tried the cord for other things, and it charges my phone, tablet and even the XB1 controllers just fine... so I am curious as to what is going on.

I've literally watched/played hours of movies and games on my console since, and as I said the charge hasn't changed.

Charge on your computer first and then try charging again on your PS4 and see if that solves the problem.

Doing that now, using the 4ft cord.

The 10 ft cord seemingly charges everything except the PS4 controller, but my XB1 cord seems to charge it just fine.

Yes, I've also reset the controller
