Welcome back program ending?

Someone please tell me.:pray: Am away from my PS3 for a while and need to know when the Asia Welcome Back program started so "might" be able to get someone to at least select the games.

Me too. I was gone for 2 weeks in June. Suddenly yesterday my daughter wants to play LBP2 and I had to do the EULA . . . then I remembered the deal. I hadn't seen it mentioned on the main deals page. Someone should've had a "don't miss out" thread in the last days.

Oh well, the only game I wanted was Wipeout and that just barely. My backlog is so huge it doesn't matter.

Still, missing out on a free game . . . fuck.
 
Honestly, I only saw the promo mentioned once on CAG back in May.

If it hadn't been for that one time, I wouldn't have known anything about it.

I think Sony dropped the ball on the reintroduction of PSN . . . not much of a surprise.

So besides multiple video game blogs, the playstation blog, the playstation websites, the playstation store, and in the playstation news ticker. Where else should it have been posted?
 
I know some here find it hard to believe, but there are lives outside of video games.

With being gone two weeks and having a daughter I'm sure he had more on his mind than checking blogs about PSN deals.

Didn't they also send out emails? I'm pretty sure I got at least one Welcome back program/PS Store update email.
 
Nice new offer for PS+ers available; PSN Summer sale. Good for anyone who signed up day 1 and got the free extension (thanks to us whiners). Too bad for other piggies gobbled up the welcome back offer before 6/12. :)

Too bad I wasn't one of the other 'piggies' who gobbled up the PS+ on day one, as I would've had a free extention till August 3rd now at least instead of it expiring on the 10th.

That means I now have THREE days left to decide if I wanna plunk down the $45 for the two year warranty thing from Sony. I've been busy running around outta town for work, so hopefully I remember before the 10th to buy a $50 card and pay for that warranty.

So what's the deal with the warranty. I don't need one, but I'm curious. Is it for any age PS3? How much is it? What does it cover?

It's for PS3's whose one year warranty is still in effect. It covers most of the possibilities, though I remember reading somewhere that even the factory warranty doesn't cover a hard drive failure, mainly because it's user upgradable.

Is it 2 years from the date you purchase the extension or 3 years from when you purchased the ps3? I assume the latter.

The two year extension starts from when your one year factory warranty ends, so I guess 3 years from when you purchased the PS3.
