I learned sopmething new just now about the NXE. Two people are playing gears in co-op. I see it as a party. If I join their party, I cna chat with them while they're playing. Basically I automatically joined their chat channel in game. I didn't know it did that. I thought parties were something separate to organize games and then all go in. Not actually enter a chat in a two-player game.
 
A party is just private chat expanded from 2 to 8 players and with a guide shortcut to invite all the players in your party to a game.
