Similar thing happened to my wife, but the girl had to ask the manager how to input coupons. Nothing was even discussed about the coupon itself.:)

Nice. I shall attempt to use this for free dinner on Saturday.

I'll have to make sure I pump myself with antacids first though. I like Wendy's, but their burgers rip my stomach apart. X_X
What's up with the weird request for a name and a passwortd when viewing this thread? (page 3 particularly)
I too notice this, maybe firefox 2.0 is broken :|
Worked for me two days straight! Woo I haven't eaten this good in months.
Won't they get suspicious? The same people will remember you and say, "Hey, what the hell dude!?" :)
i'm been getting that as well. i'm using 1.5 firefox
I'm using the new IE and I'm getting it. I'm just happy to know that it isn't some spyware that somehow got on my comp undetected.

The popup for the name/pw is because free4me.net went down for a while, and lost some data, now if anyone has a banner for one of their sites in their signature it will pop up on any page they post on, until free4me gets it fixed.

More on topic, I wish I had a printer here with me. I've got a long drive tomorrow, and some free food for the ride would be nice.

Thx dude was wondering why that was happening, thaught I had something to do with it.

Why do people have to question every little thing (Drive-thru, paper type, color...) Its a god damn coupon. Have you never seen one before?

used it, plain old black and white style with Suko_32, we got a free meal on our way to gamestop and then got a free FFXII collectors tin display.

The lady was asking her manager what the coupon was, and he looked at me and said, that guy is a shareholder and we got free meals :)
The manager didn't let me and my friend use it :( He said something about us copying it.
Oh well. We had to actually pay for a meal.
How old are you guys? He probably refused it, thinking that "How can these young assholes buy stocks?"

Anyway, I believe the coupon came from an e-mail, so obviously it would have to be printed/copied etc.

It got rejected just an hour ago. I showed it to them, and the manager called the distrct manager, who told him to check their email invoices, and i was printer a copy of the email. I cant scan it since im at work, but i can type the warning. (Scan later)

INVALID INTERNET COUPON

The cupon to the right is not a valid coupon. It has recently been used on the East Coast and here in Texas. Please do not accept these coupons

How to manage customers with the offer:
1. Please tell the customer that the store is not participating in the promotion
2. If pressed, tell the sutomer that we are unable to confirm the authenticity of the coupon promotion at the present time.
-Offer to take the cutomer;s name, phone number and address;
-Tell the sustomer that if we determine that the offer is valid and that the customer is indeed a shareholder of both companies, then we will honor the coupon at a later date.

We recofnize that the rejection of the coupon will bother some customers but we cannot allow the acceptance of wide-spread fraudulent coupons.

All the warning is a white paper with nonchallant words on it. Almost as if the manager typed it up with Word processor and gave it to me. Oh well. But basically every DM has this email.

I usually mix it up as there are some Wendy's by my school, by my house, and on my drive home. Plenty of places to stop. I've been to one with the coupon twice though. In fact, I haven't had a single employee even look at the coupon and truly read it, but even then I'm sure I could BS my way or just leave. No biggie.

Oh well....end of coupon I guess. The food was good while it lasted. Not touching this one again.

You can still use all the ones you printed up to pay homeless people to stand in PS3 launch line for you. Who cares if Wendys wont take them? You'll have your PS3 by the time the HOBO gets to try and use them.
Damn, I was hoping to use this coupon. Oh well.

On a side note, KFC has a decent promotion going on right now. Free 32 oz. drink with purchase of a KFC Famous Bowl ($3.99). I have no idea why the KFC employees are hesitant to take the coupon, though. I mean it is right off of their website.

http://www.kfclayersofflavor.com/coupon.php
anybody try their famous bowl?

Yeah, they are actually pretty good (I had the mashed and gravy one). Decent size too (bigger than the Taco Bell Border Bowls) and good amount of chicken and cheese. If you're pretty hungry, though, you may want to also get a KFC Snacker or something. The Famous Bowl probably won't be considered a full meal by everyone.

Worked for me. I had one and printed another out for my friend. They looked skeptical, but they did honor them. Not sure how long this could last.

I take these deals to the extreme. Seeing as how I know the coupon is valid I just design an email that includes the proper info. In this case I type a generic message, include the coupon, include the respective company logos, and the following contact info for the investor rep:

Marsha Gordon
Investor and Shareholder Relations Specialist
4288 W. Dublin-Granville Rd.
Dublin, OH 43017

Phone: (614) 764-3019
Fax: (614) 764-3330

To make it look even more realistic I type in the header and footer you usually see when you print out an email. I know this is a bit much, but I hate it when even valid coupons get you that stare from the cashier.

Mind supplying us with a screenshot of all that? I'd like to do the same. :D

Only if you could get Trakan, Wubb, Shrike or even Cheapy to ok it. This is mainly to do with legal issues. It might be just fine for me to create this, but the Mods and owner of this site might not want it posted on their site. If they don't ok it I could email you a .TIF file or the .PPT presentation.

Yeah, good point. I PMed you my e-mail, thanks.

*coupon removed*
Where'd the coupon go? I was finally getting around to printing these out. Blah.
It did not work for me. I don't know if all Wendy' will be aware of it but the one local to me said they got an email stating not to accept those. I dont know if I was getting bs or not.

I sent one of these to my Dad, and he said the lady working there wouldn't it as it's a fake.

I was I under the impression these were legit?

Oh well.

didn't work for me....the manage called the corporate office or something and they said it was a fake

I think these are legit, but a couple 20 year olds running around as share holders probably raised a few eyebrows.

I believe this is the same thing that happened with Starbucks. The coupon is legit, but is probably being turned down because Allstate/Wendy's Execs are too stupid to realize that there is this thing called the Internet. I thought big wigs at these two firms voted for Al Gore, the father of the internet...

Went to the Wendy's on Alexis Road in Toledo, Ohio. The person working the counter almost accepted it until somebody told him they weren't part of the national chain and couldn't honor the coupon. Did get a free medium drink out of it though.

If companies are dumb enough to issue coupons over the Internet, they need to do like Blockbuster and put "Valid for [insert person's name]" on the coupon.
