Westboro Baptist Church to go to WV "The Dead Miners are In Hell"
That's not stopping an award well above a person's means. We all know a lot of lawsuits are big amounts the person' can't afford.

But they'd probably get their money as people would end up making donations to cover the suit, court costs etc.
dead beat dads are masters at running away from garnishments. It isn't that tough.

"* LAWSUITS AND JUDGMENTS
The filing of either a Chapter Seven straight bankruptcy or Chapter Thirteen debt adjustment immediately stops any lawsuits from being filed or judgments being taken against you. If a law suit is pending at the time of such filing, it can go no further. If a judgment has been taken, its enforcement can go no further. If a creditor has a judgment and is garnishing your wages, the garnishment can be stopped. Filing for Chapter Seven straight bankruptcy may relieve you of the obligation to pay the judgment. In a Chapter Thirteen debt adjustment, you may be able to satisfy the judgment over a period not to exceed five years. If the judgment has placed a lien on your home, that lien can be removed if it interferes with your homestead. If lawsuits or judgments are a threat or reality, the protection afforded under the bankruptcy laws may be an appropriate solution for you."

I have a coworker missing half a leg due a road construction accident. Amazingly, the road construction company went belly up the next day.

Is it possible to get fight permit at the exact spot that they will be standing at that time. I want to beat them senseless. But they have no fucking sense.

All this talk about punching and lawsuits...

Someone with some cash needs to bus in a few super-bitch-ass hobos. Let these guys beat the crap out of the WBC protesters. Can't sue hobos, now can ya? Well, you can, but what are you gonna get, a cardboard box? Old shoes? Afterward, pay 'em a decent chunk of cash (under the table, of course).

(Note, I don't honestly encourage this - for many different reasons... But I wouldn't go out of my way to condemn anyone who took a similar action...)
It isn't like they only do it for the Westboro Baptist Church or the KKK, they do the same thing for gay parades/tea parties/big events. I would much rather have cops on the scene than people thinking they can fuck people up they disagree with and run before the cops show up.

I really think that the Westboro Church is a brilliant troll in proving that things have to go two ways.
Usually people have to get permits to have those types of parades, rallies etc. from the city.

But the real solution is to just ban protests with in a certain distance of funeral proceedings. Even as an ardent defender of free speech, that's just not the time or place for protests and I'd support laws requiring them to be out of eye sight and ear shot of funeral proceedings.

Can't stop the protests, but can keep them a certain distance away IMO.

Yeah.

Solemn burial ceremonies and respect for the deceased is something that precedes USA civilization by millennia. It should be understood, but these days some asshole always has to push it. As such looks like we need a law. I'm thinking something along the lines of a noise/sight ordinance in the vicinity of active funerals.
