seriously, waaaay too many good games this year. so many reasons for me to hold out getting a PS3. of course, i will only buy any of these until CAG informs me they're below $40.

Bullet Witch.
Assassin's Creed.
Golden Axe.
Too Human: Part 1.

Too Human (its coming this year?!?!)

uh....that's it? that's a pretty small list...

I'm not seeing "so many good ones".... but it is just January, plenty more surprises could show up.

So far I am interested in assassins creed, forza, gta 4, halo 3 and the new nba street game. Looking at some of your guys lists if RE5 and PGR4 come out then I'd get those too, but I haven't heard anything about those games coming out this year. I'm sure I'll pick up some other games after playing demos but those are the ones I know I'll end up buying.

Bioshock and Bulletwitch will depend on the demos.
Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey will likely be $60 purchases for some stupid reason or another.
I'd like to get a racing game but none of them really strike my fancy yet.

I'll be getting:
Lost Planet (I have it already)
Halo 3
Burnout: Dominator
Grand Theft Auto IV
Guitar Hero 2

I'll wait and see on
Assassin's Creed
Army of Two
Bioshock
BLue Dragon
Mass Effect
Too Human

I'll definitely buy: Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Brothers in Arms, Half Life 2

I'll get my brother to buy: GRAW 2, Stranglehold, Assasin's Creed, Crackdown

Halo 3 and whatever other videogames are the right price.

I'm really really excited about Assasin's Creed, hopefully I can afford it sometime soon after launch. And Mass Effect, too.

Maybe Mass Effect... probably Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, and Trusty Bell. The problem is that once again, it seems like the majority of the good games we're getting on the system are also on the PC... so I'm going to end up picking up that version of a game instead.

Right now this is the list, going in release date order (well you know, generally anyway). Yes, I know it's huge.

Definitely
Crackdown
GRAW2
Stranglehold
Half Life 2: Orange Box
Two Worlds - Oblivion-esque A-RPG with 4 player co-op FTW!
Guitar Hero 2
Bioshock
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men
ES: Oblivion: Shivering Isles
Assassin's Creed
Mass Effect - GOTY 2007. I'm calling it now.
Blue Dragon
Lost Odyssey
Halo 3
GTA4
Alan Wake
- Just in case it makes it out this year.
Fable 2 - Just in case it makes it out this year.
Resident Evil 5 - Just in case it makes it out this year.

Maybe
Bulletwitch
Forza 2
BiA: Hell's Highway
Too Human
Elveon
Shadowrun
Dark Sector
Left 4 Dead
Clive Barker's Jericho
Eternal Sonata
Project Offset

Arcade
Castle Crashers
Castlevania SOTN
Worms
Aliend Hominid

Halo Wars? Resident Evil 5?? Not in 2007, you won't. The truth is, though, that even if a handful of 'AAA' titles slip into 2008 and beyond, you've still got a calendar year that, arguably, could be the greatest and--from Blue Dragon to Halo 3--most diversified for any home console, ever. That started with Lost Planet last week, and includes what we'll be seeing on Live Arcade.

I picked the wrong year to try to cut back on the purchases.

EDIT: Alan Wake has already been pretty much officially written off for a 2007 release. Probably Q1 '08, if I had to guess. It could be as much giving the game the spotlight as needing more time in the oven.

Actually, barring Live Arcade titles, let me try to keep my 360 purchases for the remainder of 2007 to a 'magnificent seven':

Absolute locks:

Crackdown (already preordered)
Halo 3
BioShock
Mass Effect
Guitar Hero II
GTA IV
Half-Life 2: Orange

But that excludes Forza and MLB 2K7 and Assassin's Creed and...wow. I might as well bump that up to the 'dirty dozen' right now, hunh?

I'm going to get Crackdown, Mass Effect, Bioshock, VF5, Blue Dragon, and Halo 3 on blind faith. I'm interested in checking out Assassins Creed, Def Jam Icon, NBA Street Homecourt, and some others, but I want to at least read some reviews and/or play the demo first.

Edit: I forgot about Half Life 2: Orange. I'm definitely buying that. $60 for 5 games is too good to pass up!

going to get

crackdown
ghost recon graw 2
mlb 2k7
guitar hero
bioshock
shadowrun
mass effect
halo 3
half life orange
assains creed
guitar hero
The darkness

maybes

kane and lynch
GTA 4
stranglehold
army of 2

Mass Effect, Halo 3, Lost Odyssey and GTA 4 are definite must-buys for me. Assassin's Creed, Eternal Sonata, and Blue Dragon may also pan out depending on demo/reviews (sadly, I was looking forward to Lost Planet but the demo and reviews definitely turned me off).

On another note, yay for downloadable demos!

Is GTA IV a sure thing for this year? Guess I should add that too.

It's already dated (by Rockstar, Not EBGamestop.com) for 10/15 or 10/16 for both the 360 and PS3. It might move back a week or two, but 99+% probability of hitting by this 'holiday season'. They wouldn't say that unless they knew it could easily be finished by then, and they won't miss another Christmas season.

Basically almost anything thats single player on the 360 I can wait on since I've got a backlog of games sitting around. The DS & Wii stuff is pretty much the same except for Animal Crossing which isn't confirmed, but everyone knows its going to come out.

Review Dependant
Turok
Tenchu X (this game looks BAD ASS if you enjoyed the Tenchu series)

I'm noticing that GRAW 2 isn't getting a lot of love. Personally, I am very curious how they handle the online gameplay. GRAW 2 is the first big sequel to a series that originated on the Xbox 360 and I want to see if the developers are hearing our cries about Xbox Live games or will this be just more of the same. It may be too much to ask for a patch to add a party system and matchmaking but it certainly is not too much to ask for a sequel to care of these issues. Thats why I'm keeping my eye on this game.

(Before I get flamed, I am aware of the Ghost Recon games from last generation but the GRAW series of Ghost Recon games originated on the Xbox 360)
