What am I doing wrong in my Wii selling?
Surely, I'm 13...+20.

regardless, you're arguing with a 13 year old- grats dude: you win the intarwebs.

Further- check out eBay Wii console listings on any given day. I mean, ebay isn't a secret organization with hidden numbers. Anyone can check it out.

What's half of 18,000? You can also sort by "ending soonest", and other things which might help you get some solid numbers.

Have fun proving me wrong.

Yes, scalpers are a major problem, and I think I've covered the bases: They hold the supply hostage by purchasing as many available consoles as possible. By limiting supply, making it exclusive, you also inadvertantly create a deman for an item. This has been proven historically from everything from alcohol, to gasoline, to TV's, even popular fiction novels of all things.

Anything else?
Everytime Mojo has posted, ive tried to defend him and his reasoning. Because I was once too thinking like him, I felt the same way, that scalpers ARE THE REASON FOR WII's being hard to find. No one can deny that! Look at how many WII's are on ebay or craigslist. Look at how many of those wii's could have went to people WHO WANTED THEM.

End of story.. expect this to be locked or deleted soon..

Nintendo should have raised the price, then people would have cried inflamation of price.

Another true tidbit, none of these Wii hoarders have well paying careers.

Damn some of you guys have to learn how economy works in all of the world.

What's that old saying, "If you want something, you have to work hard for it" I don't believe it's "Hey here's millions of dollars and everything you want all packed away in this stretch Hummer. Oh the Hummer is yours to"

Alright, the wii is not hard to find! I could go down to the store sunday and even some other days and wait like anyone else can. This sunday I could pick up a wii or possibly even two if I was lucky easily. It'll take some hard work and some waiting, but crap isn't handed over to you on a silver platter.

You guys complaining about what the OP is doing, maybe you should pick up a book or even go about searching the internet about how life and the economy work. Or maybe you're to lazy to even do that ...

There is no reason for nintendo to raise the price of the wii to stem demand, since they have been profitable with the Wii from the beginning, and it would make them look really bad (and coming off the Gamecube, negative press about thier newest console was not what they would want)
Is this even for real? Deprive some kid....what, the only think little snot-nosed Johnny can have is a Wii, or his Chwismass is wuined. Give me a fucking break.

These were all over the place in October and November. If your precious little baby had to have one, then daddy waddy needed to wake up and buy it way back then.

Many people make a fine living, but are smart enough or clever enough to understand how to turn a hobby into a nice little extra money.
nice way of stereotyping ALL children. Maybe your name really does suit you...but anyways.

When Xmas comes around there is mass hysteria of shopping. A lot of people are not conditioned to shop a few months ahead of time, yet some are.

My point right now that is if he wants to scalp it, just report his earnings to the IRS making it legal at least. Plus, they have crackdowned on ebay sales and he did post his ebay name.

Only needs to be done if you have a business or make enough money to be considered a business, I believe which is 10 or 20k a year. Small earnings like this don't have to be shown.

The difference between

Sellling a Wii ALONE - 360

Selling a WII with extra Nunchuck/WII play - 500+

140ish more bucks for buying 60 bucks worth of gaming needs..

What a joke..
Or you could just quit being a douche an let someone who really wants a Wii buy one. People have a hard enough time finding one without people like you trying to make a quick buck. I don't want one, but millions of other people do. This is CAG not fatwallet.
Or maybe you could quit being a douche. If people want one that badly they will wait for 3 HOURS or camp Amazon.com for days at a time. If anything, blame Nintendo. It wouldn't be too hard to up Wii production.

Wrong. Any and all income needs to be reported to the IRS. You might not be taxed on it, but it still needs to be reported.

That's not to say that you are going to get caught or anything, but if you want to be 100% legal, you need to report ALL income, regardless of the amount.
Buying up Wiis purely to resell, then coming here and whining about it when you don't get the price you were hoping for on eBay? Boo fucking hoo; that makes you a douche.
What they said.

Capitalism is one thing. Starting up a thread asking us for business advice on scalping is another. Why not ask on the EBAY forums? There is lots of good advice there.

Just make sure to make a dummy account that you can ask questions with, so other Ebayers don't screw with your sales.
