Trying the figure out the best way to go to built credit while buying games / maybe getting some cashback in return

If you buy from Amazon then the Amazon visa is probably the best. And ditto that for the Best Buy rewards cc. Aside from that, Chase Freedom is a good card with a good rewards program

The Sony card used to be great but now it sucks. I used to get like $10-15 (can't remember) a month just from playing the bonus games (Jeopardy, wheel of fortune, etc..) on their rewards site but they've pretty much gotten rid of all of that. The sony card is okay if you buy from Sony Style, or buy often from PSN

I enjoy my Target Debit Card with free shipping and 5% off in store and online

Oh and the fact it's not a CC is a plus as well!

Avoid Capital One if you can. They have some of the highest rates and are one of the harsher collectors if you get in trouble. Of course, that's pretty much true for most cards you can get easily when you're just starting to build credit. Best place to go would probably be your local bank/credit union where you have a checking/savings account.

I use my Best Buy Rewardzone MasterCard. 4% back on Best Buy purchases combined with Gamers Club you come our pretty good. You can use your MasterCard for non-BB purchases too which counts towards the $2500 you need to spend a year to maintain Premier Silver Status (and get even more bonus points). The one annoying thing is that they keep trying to sell me their credit card insurance or whatever. Oh and you need to pay the full amount due each month to get your 4%.
