What are your living arrangements?

Live with my wife, daughter and dog in a smallish 2/1 house. We're only renting, thankfully, which is $375/month.

Next month things will change.
I live with three roommates/friends in a 2 bed/2 bath apartment. It's a block from my university, in Orange County, and the rent is $1280. So I'm paying $320.
Ha. There's a decent chance we're neighbors, so to speak.

My own apartment, to the unfortunate tune of $1285 a month. Ugh.

I have occasional custody of 2 mini-dachshunds...but they don't help with the rent.

I live in the glory that is Collegiate Housing. $500 a month to share a bedroom with another dude, in a small apartment, which is subjected to monthly inspections. WHOOOOOOOOO!

3 bedroom/2-car garage house, with the wife and my little girl, paying $700 a month, on a 120' x 120' lot, I NEEDS MY SPACE BITCh!!!
Rent a single bedroom in a house with shared bathrooms and kitchen. It ain't pretty but it is cheap.
That's the best kind. Make it pretty with a bunch of stuff that you buy with the money you save.

I live in a 3 br / 2 bath townhome with 2 other roommates. The rent is only $1150 per month so it works out great for all of us. The bedrooms are a little small, with mine being the largest at 12' x 14', but the living room and kitchen make up for it since they are massive.

It's nice though, since we have a garage, an attic to stow away extra things, and a nice yard to hang out in.

I live in an apartment with 4 other friends. But since it's a 2 bedroom, we give the 5th guy a discount because he has to sleep in the living room.

I live in a two bedroom apartment with one roommate.

We each pay $460 per month (which includes all utilities/cable/Internet).

Well, we used to buy food to share, but then we forgot which food was sharable, and which wasn't. So now we buy our own food, and warn everyone else what food belongs to who. Ain't nobody eating my Cheez-Its or drinking my orange soda, but ME, dammit.

But when I buy tequitos, that shit is always up for grabs, cause I'm hella nice like that.
I live alone.. All alone..

And it fucking rocks. $450 a month for a 1 bedroom condo, I lucked out on this place.
Wow, that's awesome. Nice location?
Around here, when the rent is $400-$600 it means your neighbors will probably break into your house/apt when your not home. Or kill you.

It's actually in an upper-middle class neighborhood. I'm on the edge of a sketchy area, but it's good right here.. I'm not really sure why it's so cheap, I think the owners just didn't know what they were doing. They didn't even make me sign a lease.
Live with my Brother...i don't know which one to choose...
I said it to someone else, SORRY :whistle2:(. I didn't even think about the option of "Relatives". It completely slipped my mind.

That's pretty good! Same here. We live in upper middle class area.. but we are right next to Camden!!! (If you don't know, Camden NJ is GHETTTTTOOOOOOO). That's why we are paying $955 for a ONE bedroom  (But everything being included is amazing, and the apartment is decent and the area is awesome).

That's pretty weird you didn't sign a lease. But hey, whatever works for them
It just includes water.
You don't know how lucky you are XD
I would totally have my own place for just 400-500.

I live in a 2 bedroom apt with another CAG.

Our neighbors sell drugs, we live across from an elementary school, and last year there was a drive-by.

Wow, you must live like down the block from us.
Even with all the crime over here, I wouldn't move XD
I just like where I live.
I have a question for those who live with friends. Do you all buy your own food?
My roommate and myself have always bought our own food/drinks. I think it's easier this way.

Been unemployed for a while now

Yeah I'd imagine it would. I just hate the idea of going into a fridge and seeing things you can and can't have :whistle2:( I'd feel so ignorant to put my name on something

Hey, I sometimes put my name on stuff.
or someone eats all my stuff :/
Not to mention, you look kind of gay when you're roaming the grocery store, hand-in-hand with your male roommate. (No offense. :p)
True, but you can do your wifely obligations and watch the prices as the husband bags the groceries

I'm not knocking it! I'm just saying I would feel weird doing so. I understand you HAVE to because things will be eaten :( I used to do that when I lived at home.. i felt like such an asshole  But then again I would put notes that read "You eat, I'll poison you all"

Clorox kills AND it hurts going down! /Win

I'm glad that I eat food that none of my roommates enjoy. I don't care what anyone says, grapes are delicious.
Seriously, who the fuck DOESN'T like grapes?

It's even worse when you buy them, and the "seeded" part of the label decides to reveal itself after you already bought and opened it.

Probably. All this talk of grapes is going to make me open the pack I bought earlier tonight, but I wanna save those for tomorrow. =/

Man, your laughing at how I eat grapes :/

Hey, it can't be weirder than how I eat them.

I eat the grape "skin" before I eat the grape sometimes. Like, I peel it with my teeth.

Hey, it still tastes like a grape, so it's all good to me.

I peel it off normally, too. =D
Weirdo.
Just kidding. :grouphug:

I rent a 3/2 house with 2 of my friends while finishing up college. My rent is 713 plus utilities. For this area, it was damn amazing how cheap it was for the house. I would have been paying more for my old campus run apartment.
I have a question for those who live with friends. Do you all buy your own food?
When I lived with friends it was always under the agreement that we would each buy our own food. This was a problem in my last house and as a result I would taint my food constantly and laugh my ass off when they stumbled home drunk and ate my food.
