wondering if anyone thinks there may be some other recent rare games for the PS2 XBOX GC besides the ones i listed. Harder to find but good titles? Ones that will hold their value, have gone oop and will never see PH GH status? anyone know secret gems?

Cubivore
Rez
Skies of Arcadia

Let's see.
Recent Rare games for the Xbox, PS2 and Gamecube?

Those would be Grabbed by the Ghoulies and Starfox Adventures.

:)
disgaea sounds like it'll be rare soon. also the suikoden titles too. most of them anyways.
I'm not sure about that. Disgaea sold really well (comparatively) from what I remember. I'm betting Atlus will actually do more printings for it.

you could be right, but its simply a ps2 strategy game with ps1 graphics, and an unusual sounding name. Atlus games tend to become rare, so the future is undecided for now. we'll just have to wait and see. (though it DOES sell well for a hard-to-find game, or semi-hard-to-find.) ((i tried all of my surrounding stores. not a single one has it, and most have never even heard of it. :? ))

Considering that Disgaea sold well enough to convince Atlus to bring La Pucelle: Tactics to the US, I highly doubt that it is that rare.

I don't think we were looking for BAD games!

Way to miss the Joke.
Current Rare Games. Rare. The company.
You know.. Rare Games.
Games made by Rare.
Ha Ha. A Joke.

It used to be hard to find Suikoden 3 a while ago shortly after it came out.... I was looking for about 3 months before I eventually found a bunch at k-Mart of all places
Fatal Frame II will probably be hard to find a few years from now.
Thanks for the tip, Captain Obvious.

Who would have thought a semi-popular game would be hard to find a few years after its release? It has only happened a few hundred times!

Quack.....I don't understand the argument you're trying to make, but go to hell.....seriously.

I figured I'd add an illustration to help your feeble mind grasp the concept of "rare"

Luigi's Mansion...came out a few years ago.......mass produced....everyone bought it....therefore, its easy to find.

Rez came out a few years ago....hardly anyone bought it.....not many copies released.....now it is hard to find....therefore, its rare.

Simple, huh?

GBA games:

CIMA:The Enemy -- just released 3-4 months ago, hard to find a new copy but still available in some EB or Gamestop B&M. This game is damn good!

Shinning Soul -- not that great but still a Rare game

Shinning Soul 2 -- Ive played the UK version and this is way better than the first one. Will be released in April, expect it to be rare in a few months

Not a suprise since all three games are from ATLUS
Considering that Disgaea sold well enough to convince Atlus to bring La Pucelle: Tactics to the US, I highly doubt that it is that rare.
Actually, Mastiff is bringing out La Pucelle, not Atlus.

Though I think they indeed acquired the rights due to Disgaea's success.

Atlus actually passed on La Pucelle. Hopefully it's due to them possibly working on Phantom Brave.

Oh, and CIMA is from Natsume, not Atlus.

Gauntlet Dark Legacy for the Gamecube is quite rare, well not super rare as there's always a copy at my EB, but people are paying $50 for it on the 'bay so its one to watch for the future.

Ah. I had only read the rumors that La Pucelle was coming out and that atlus was considering it for the US...

I then heard months later that it was coming out, so I assumed that it was Atlus that was releasing it.

These games are *kinda* rare but don't have the same demand to propel them into the same most wanted status as something like Rez or Suikoden.

--Shadow of Destiny
--Way of the Samurai
--Stretch Panic

And I guess Steel Battalion....God I want that game.

I wonder why i can still buy halo? WOW IT MUST BE REALLY RARE

From what I hear, RAD: Robot Alchemical Drive for PS2 is a bit rare. It's not really pulling in that great a price, though. I personally didn't know it was hard to find until after I bought a mint used copy for $15 at ebgames.com.

I keep reading about copies of Ninja Five-O for the GBA, but I've never seen it in a store. ended up getting mine off eBay for about $25.

I have always been curious as to how people all of a sudden find 3 yr old threads and post in them. How exactly did you find this?
I almost mentioned Shadow of Destiny, then I saw that it sells for about $15.
Current price does not necessarily mean it's not rare.

Some games -- Warsong and Culdcept come to mind, even Ikaruga -- can be found everywhere for insanely cheap prices for awhile. Then they're gone and suddenly they're "rare".

What the fuck? Who dug up this thread from 2004? I've seen at least 3 different threads on this exact topic and someone bringd up the oldest most incomplete one??? way to go.
