what do you guys think about this pc case

I dont get this case crazy... give me a big beige box and i'll fill it full of goodies... its not the color of the case, its how much ram you stuff in it =)

well its defintily a cool looking case.....not to expensive.... I've usually invest my money for the insides of the pc,,, rather then the outside.. but for some the presentation is more important....and now with some price drops... you can get a cool case with out spending too much.

Don't judge a book by its cover. It's what's on the inside (not the outside) that counts! :D

I'm not big on fancy cases. I sunno, just too garish.

I would go with this case...

or this one with the window.

I really like the color. But on the downside, this is a big tower. I wish the smaller versions were just as inexpensive. It's just too big. But it's roomy enough that heat shouldn't be a big problem. Especially with an extra fan.

You jst need this 520 watt power supply to go alone with it. You can even get it in matching blue.

Or, if you wanna risk a tigerdirect rebate (I've heard they're unreliable but have never tried one myself) you can go with this baby. 500 watt power supply plus glossy balck case for $20 Ar.

(Another odd thing about this rebate is that the web page says you need to make a $300 purchase but the rebate fine print doesn't state anything of that nature. It just seems funny so I wouldn't trust it.)

My personal favorite case right now is a luxury item due to cost. It's just not worth $110. But the Overture is nice.

It's not too big or too small. It'll hold a full atx motherboard. (Though they say if you have a tall graphics card with a large heatsink it may not fit by a few cm's.) It's roomy enough for two external 5-1/2, two external 3-1/2, and three internal 3-1/2 drives. It's supposedly ultra quiet. And it's sleek and compact. Big enough for plenty of drives but small enough to sit on a media shelf. If money was no object I'd get this.

As for the indsides, for the past week I've been looking at the market. I've come to the conlcusion that this is the worst time in several years to build a new PC. It's too skewed to the high end or low end. And who knows how the transition from pci-e is going to pan out. In another year we'll have the first dual core processors. I think the graphics card market will be more signifigantly altered than usual in the coming year. It's just the absolutely wrong time.

I woukld go with a last generation pc if you must have a new pc and just wait another year or two. Like, a semperon 3100 and a simple agp system. It's cheap and effective and will do everythign you want it to do today. Especially if you overclock it.

yea tiger direct is like the worst place to purchase anything......and the shipping is horrible.

i actually considered that glossy black case but ive heard the stories about their rebates...

based on what i researched months ago, you really should go with an aluminum case, especially if you're going amd, I hear that they tend to run hotter that the intels

you need to keep your stuff cool

dammit i hate when this happens....i get in the mood to buy everything then i stop and dont know what to get again....

now im stuck on which mobo to get and whether to get one sli compatible or not.......

only thing ordered so far was a bfg 6600 gt oc video card

Guess I'm old school but I'm not big on any cases where you have to open a damn door to get to your drives, ports, etc. Waste of time and just something else that can break.

I've never had any problems with TigerDirect.com. Great customer service and quick rebates. I'm interested in what problems you had.

well they are notoriously known for ebing shady sometimes....

the only problem ive had was that i ordered a video capture card from them and they never sent it.....

then i had to fight with them for like forver that i never received it....

and even more wait for them to finally send it to me....it was hell

[quote name='doodle777_98'][quote name='guyver2077']check this out....what do you think.....nothing too fancy and straight to the point,,,cant go wrong with black..
