What do you hope to find this coming Black Friday?
If I can find a cheap (read sub 250) 360 I will finally venture out to fight crowds after never doing so.
Hahahahahah! That sig is awesome.

I plan on sitting in a parking lot of a some big electronics store with binoculars to watch all the people get trampled when the doors open.

I always like picking up TV on DVD sets for $10-20.

Usually don't find many games worth the time. This will be my 5th Black Friday.

Hopefully get all my xmas shopping done that day and the only thing I will be hoping they have a good deal on this year is an hd camcorder since mine was stolen outta my car a couple months back.

Freebies. I quite enjoy plotting my free item route the nights prior to BF, like first 50 people at Sears get $10/$20 gift card, same deal at Pep Boys, etc.

I got more than $50 in free GCs by visiting multiple stores and driving like a demon that morning.

I would never step foot in any CC or BB on BF. That's suicide. Staples is sometimes nice, though.

Probably gonna pick up a few extra hours of sleep and relaxation and let everyone else deal with the cold and crowds to save a few bucks ;)

This will be the first Black Friday in almost 3 years that I didn't have to work on.

I'm hoping to upgrade my 32" LCD, so hopefully I'll find a good price on a nice set come Black Friday. Maybe another LCD around the 42-46" range with 1080p for one final upgrade.

Other than that hoping for cheap HBO/Showtime TV sets, since I still need to pick up Rome S1/2, all of Deadwood and so on.

I gotta say Im hoping for a few things but depending on who has what will depend on what route I take for my shopping this year.

It ranges from decent games on the cheap, decent dvd sets on the cheap which target has been a great hook up the past 2yrs, possibly another e-machine or a laptop as well as a digi-cam or vid-cam.

I worked 2 Black Fridays at TRU and swore to just stay indoors when the event rolls around again. I'm still standing by my word. The sales are incredible, but the mob of people is extremely wild. I'll just have a family/friend that's planning to be out there pick me up a few items or two.

I was at a TRU when the whole Elmo Doll craze was going on, I was looking for a Monopoly Board and decided to go to TRU and see if they had one cheap. I swear lil Kids were being used as Grenades, Mothers Throwing their kids at the nearest open line and bombarding the aisles with crazed women biting eacothers ears off for a freaking doll that has a seizure when you push a button.

And for a while people were gouging on the 10th anniversary ones too. But, that hype and commotion has died down now too.

I think I started work at TRU when those Elmo Dolls came out. It was horrible. :whistle2:# I'm glad I don't work there anymore.

I would not have wanted to be the employee that had to hand out Mew's until 8pm in the TRU store last year for the Pokemon mew event because there were so many people there.. I thought the kids were well behaved but that had to strain their resources as they had a crowd of hundreds in the r-zone for the entire day....

I want an external hard drive, but above all I want prices that beat online prices, if I can get something online for cheaper then so be it, last year I didn't find much of interest at the black friday sales at all...
I wish there would be an amazing deal on home theaters and receivers.
That's what I'm hoping for

a cheap lcd hdtv (32"+) and some 360 stuff. Maybe some speakers, (hd)dvd's, and The Office S3 if i dont have it already.

Last time I waited in the cold (live in MN) with only my jacket liner and froze my arse off to try and get a laptop for my mom and a 19" hdtv monitor. Didnt get there quick enough to get the laptop but I did manage to get the monitor. It was supposed to be 320$ minus a 120$ rebate but i thought they made a mistake so in all the chaos the employee took off 120$ giving me the monitor for 200$ but with a 120$ rebate as well. Giving me the monitor for 80$, definately worth it.

Not really looking for anything in particular. Maybe some super cheap PC games? if PS2 drops to $99 by then, I'll get one and I might be on the look out for a few PS2 games, but most of everything I want is already cheap...

I'm not expecting anything good though. Black Friday gets worse every year--more people are out, the truly hot deals at stores are very limited and go to the idiots who skip Thanksgiving dinner to start camping. Those "deals" are also usually something dumb like a cheap E-machine or Olevia lcd...things which were probably a similar price online at several points during the year.

It's basically the one day where retail stores drop a couple items close to online prices to bait people

my wish list

-a cheap lcd monitor 15'-17' will do. Recently setup my main computer with a dual screen setup so I stole my monitor downstairs
-500gb+ external hard drive (preferably a MyBook)
-HD-DVDs and Blu-Ray at a good price hopefully 9.99 or under
-TV Show Seasons (Bones Season2, Office Season 3, and House Season 3 are some I am hoping to get at $19.99 or less)
-Receiver/Speakers or Home Theater System w/HDMI
-Cheap PS3/Wii/360 games $19.99 or under

thats all I can think of right now. I really want a iphone or Ipod touch but I know those won't be on sale.

Man some of you guys have some really high expectations for black friday. I doubt to see a 360 drop for BF or anything like an iPod, which already sell really well. I am hopin to see a decent HD LCD which i could pick up and maybe a decent home theater system. Haven't been out of BF in a while so I'm actually not looking forward to it, but a deal is a deal.

i have to work on BF, although we only have 2 major stores in town (wal mart and K mart) so there isn't anything too good at those anyways.. I'll be doing most of my shopping online anyways, I hate the long lines at the stores and such.. good luck to everyone else though, but dvd sets and tvs don't really interest me that much, I can always get the majority of the TV shows through Itunes or Amazone unbox anyways..

I'm not expecting a price drop on a 360 but more likely get a free controller/games with purchase.

Don't forget a lot of people don't know about online shopping (or some people just refuse to use the internet completely) so black friday is there way of shopping at close to online prices, of course the smart people shop online, but judging by those black friday lines I doubt some of those people can be considered smart. Some people just enjoy the rush of black friday, but its way too cold out here to camp and I wouldn't want to miss thanksgiving dinner with the family to start camping.

Really interested in a couple of 750gb+ SATA drives. Would love to see those drop significantly. Wouldn't mind hooking myself a mega-cheapo laptop, either.

Something worth going out for. Hasn't been much that I'd get the last few years. At least nothing worth fighting the crowds. BF can be fun. Used to go out with the family and strategically position ourselves around the store. Every person was responsible for one item. So one person got TVS another got DVD players, and so on. Nothing like loading 8 dvd players in a cart and then beating back people from taking them.

I remember last year BB had alot of items online, so I hope to just check the site and see what's there

while everyone else is sleeping off all that L-tryptophan & carbs they've loaded up on..

Every season of Scrubs at 19.99 or less, same for My Name is Earl, after that maybe both season of Rome under 49.99 each.

i worked at c city 2 years back and almost all there on sale SD cards and some other stuff was done with store pick up cus people just bought it online before the store was open. Managers were pretty pissed

If you have a business account with best buy you can skip the "in-store" lines almost altogether. I remember there being a seperate line, which i think was empty, but I didnt notice it until I was half way thru the line that snaked its way throughout best buy. So i figured I wouldnt risk my spot since the business account was under my dad's name.

What am I looking for:

Deals on South Park, Simpsons, House MD (maybe), Case Closed, Bleach, Dragonball/z/gt DVDs.

HD-DVDs or bluray discs for sub$20.

HD-DVD standalone for $150.

Itouch for $250 or less.

PC DVD burner supporting lightscribe for $30 or less.

Video card for $200 or less that's better than my 7950gt card that I overpaid for last fall.

Only things I'm really looking for would be some cheap BR and if I can get a good deal on a 360 Premium/Elite.
brand new 2008 honda for less than 15,000 ^__^
Those Honda Fits HAVE to be less than 15K - those things look like modern Le Cars. And there must be some cheapo Civic models that are still under 15K. Well, you didn't specify WHICH Honda model you wanted sot here you go.

Good luck if you want an S2000 or any of the SUVs or a decent Accord for under 15K though!

AHA!!! So, your 'crew' is one of the typical hoarding types I saw 2 years ago when I went in for the super cheap(and rightfully cheap because they're pos's) EMachine computers from BB.

People were walking out with 4 of the sale items and those of us who thought we made it there with time enough to spare got left empty handed. Mind you, as usual, I had NO ONE to stand with me in the line, so I was pretty much SO fuckin L as far as switching out to get warm on that cold Black Friday morning.

I've only done the BF thing twice in my lifetime and I doubt I'll ever do it again, unless they're offering something like $200 PS3's or 360's and even then, I'm bringing a f'n stun gun and zapping the first g'damn hoarder I see running out with 8 of them.

I would like to fill in some of my dvd series South park, simpsons, family guy, lost, futurama and posibly invasion.

and if its cheap enough and we are out of this tight spot right now and 360 and some good cheap ps3 games (please let lair hit the sweet price of $10-$15by then)

No, there were 8 of us there that wanted a $30 DVD player. Instead of the 8 of us standing in each line, we distributed. One person got DVD players, one got TVs etc...

hopefully some damn organization... last year I went to CC and had no problems finding the cheap 360 games I wanted. The problem was the store was chaos with none of the employees doing anything to try and get the store back from the insanity that took over..

I stood in what was supposed to be a line threw the middle of the store yet all people kept doing was cutting in and I swear there were 100's pf people in this place and it is a small store.. so I stood in line and moved about 6 ft in almost 3 hours and said screw it and it took me another 15 mins to battle the crowd to get out...

so for the hell of it I stopped at a Bestbuy on the way home which at that time was around 8:30am and the store was pretty empty like a normal weekday morning and found all the games there they had at CC and price matched them with the ad and also snagged "Criminal Origins" and the outfit for under $10...
