What do you like better?DDR or Pump It Up?
No...?

Pump it Up ---> http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/258216.asp

In the Groove ---> http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=939105

I like In the Groove the best, but I've never tried Pump It Up Exceed (waiting for it to go on sale / clearance).
Pump it up is a series of games. There are 10 or more games, I believe. In the groove is part of the series. Look at In the Groove 2 cabs. They say "pump it up" on them

In the Groove was an independently developed mod/upgrade kit for DDR machines. It is targeted towards the super-hardcore DDR-ers in that not only are there higher difficulty levels, but also new play mechanics, such as mines which penalize the player for standing on a button (unlike traditional gameplay which does not). It also features the addition of arrow effects such as in the computer dance game simulator/'emulator" StepMania, which probably isn't a coincidence.

After reading that Wiki page, I am confused. Andamiro and RoXor were seperately already in hot water with Konami, so I don't understand why if they became a publisher for In The Groove 2, they would modify their dance platform to use Konami's 4-sensor cross pattern instead of just leaving it as their 5-sensor X pattern. I think RoXor should have just made a mod of PIU for the Pump market-equivalent.

They didn't modify it for Pump It Up. Pump It Up is still the same way with 5 arrows. They just released a new Pump It Up arcade game recently
I prefer the pads used in Pump it Up but think the music in DDR is a good deal better.
My thoughts exactly.
