What do you listen to when no one's around?
http://www.ocremix.org/songs/Punchout_Little_Macs_Confession_OC_ReMix.mp3
this is very odd....I never posted this.

well I have a few guilty pleasures
Nobody's Home- Avril Lavigne
Straight Up- Paula Abdul

and some Ryan Cabrera.

I love a lot of the stuff some of you guys mentioned (Britney, *NSYNC, plus Aaron Carter, Dream Street, Xtina, Jessica Simpson, a lot of stuff) and I listen to them regardless of who's around. But probably the few songs that I'm a bit "ehh" towards admitting I like are some older classic country songs. I don't like many, but there are a couple that I enjoy a lot which are a tad embarrassing to admit to liking.

So this is what guys listen to when no one is around (this is good blackmail JK), but eh girls can be the same.

For me yea.. all the pop stars x.x anyone remembers P.Y.T? haha I doubt it and .. heyy that Pokemon the First Movie CD. =X Basically when no one around (and I'm alone a lot and love listening to my music) it's all the music that isn't rap or hiphop. I listen to international music as well like Jpop and some French music like Alize. But yea....
Dido
I also listen to Dido when no one else is around.

I actually listen to a lot of chick rock when no one else is around.

I also like Oasis quite a bit

Mainly though I listen to Classic Rock, 80's Hair Metal, some stuff from early 90's and country.

When nobodys around I like to think to myself you know because in upstate here with a roomate and Im always out and stuff so whenever I have some time alone Ill take the time to just think and relax, maybe play some smooth jazz.

Dido and Mid-90's Oasis kicks ass. I make my friends listen to Dido. they don't seem to mind.

I listen to Thrill Kill Kult alone.

My friends just wouldn't understand.
I stopped trying to get my friends into Primus and Bjork a long time ago.
Yes Bjork is a love goddess.

I also have Primus.

And alot of Led Zeppelin.

OK I'm getting freaked out

I occasionally listen to some Happy Hardcore. I guess I'm on the same shame level as those JPop kids. :p

Eurodance. Anything Eurodance. Like, Eiffel 65, or Real McCoy.

Yeah, Happy Hardcore and JPop are good too...if I can keep 'em hidden. *l*

Hm...

Well, honestly, I do listen to some Will Smith from time-to-time. My friends and generally everyone online thinks he sucks.

It's not really what I listen to, it's that my guilty pleasure it to lip sync hardcore when I'm alone -- complete with some coreagraphy ...

Definetly J-pop, J-rock, euro techno/beats/pop.
Two-Mix, oh man I have all their albums and hits comps.
Utada Kiraku, Koda Kumi, some others.
Also the original Minmei songs from robotech (i.e to be in love, my boyfriends a pilot)
Anime music (Read or Die has a beautiful score), some VG music.
Also random Britney, Avril, Lohan hits. (so easy to get stuck in your head!)
Anything from the Initial D series (arcade games) *Can't stop the music!!!*

Man, I am such a closet nerd/wuss.
J-Rock, euro-beat, j-pop. Initial D and DDR got me hooked on this stuff.
^^^
hells yeah!

Also, their ain't nothing wrong with a little journey....

show tunes

yeah, right. I actually listen to a lot of movie scores. Everybody knows I listen to them but don't want to hear it so I have to listen to them by myself. I'm sorry to admit that I have the Britney Spears GH. Toxic plus the remixes...I can't help it! I need an intervention!

The same rock/alternative/metal I always listen to, only LOUDER. :D

I guess I could say Journey or Billy Idol, but I listen to that in front of other people too. I don't really give a fuck.
For some damn strange reason I can't help but listen to Dexy's Midnight Runners' Come On Eileen.
I do the same thing, but there is more of a problem with it in my case. The thing is that my mother's name is Eileen, so I always feel like such a pervert listening and singing along to this song.

Oedipus would be proud of me.

As for other music, anything by Toto. I just have to hold the line for Rosanna down in Africa

A couple of years ago I downloaded Backstreat Boys "We're Back" or whatever the name of that song was. I still have it on my X-Box and I'm not ashamed to admit that the song is quite catchy.

Same with me, I really like that type of music but most people who know me have no ieda I listen to that type of stuff.

The worst is with E-Rotic, I started listening to their songs in DDR and I would be really embarrased if anyone knew I listened to some of their music.

To answer the question posed by the topic sentence: I listen to my dog Ernie. Ernie is a talking dog. He only talks to me and no one else.

(I'm just joking.....I really dont listen to lame music)

90's r&b is my guilty pleasure. You know, like that compilation they've been advertising on MTV (only was watching MTV cuz beavis and butthead was on, BTW). That is actually the music I kinda grew up on (besides the oldies my parents exposed me too, or the OG gangsta rap like The Chronic and Doggystyle that my cousin exposed me to), before I developed taste in music, so that's probably why I like it. Some of those songs really bring back memories.
You know, now that I think about it, I think it's hilarious that I was probably about five or six years old, freshly enrolled in a private catholic school when I use to ride around with my cousin bumpin' doggystyle: "bitches ain't shit but hoes and tricks..." none too appropriate.
sorry about the long and wandering post

don't be ashamed guys... just think of this way: if metal never existed, would you just not listen to music at all? hell no. you're not chained to a gerne.

No one's ever around when I listen to music anyway ... but I have nothing to hide.

I do enjoy some Michelle Branch from time to time, but I'm not ashamed.

That's ok, I'm ashamed for you.

Sometimes I listen to the devil when I am by myself......no but seriously......no wait.....seriously.

j/k

Nice to see so many metal people here. I never listen to top 40 anything. It is truly the devil's music. It makes me want to destroy everything in my path. Justin Timberlake's album was well produced? So is my feces. I'd rather hear fantastic songwriting played by real musicians that sounded like it was recorded on a piece of wax paper than a great sounding piece of rubbish any day.

Me too! I normally listen to alternative rock.

Wow, somebody resurrected my thread. I made this thing like a week after I joined and almost a year later and 1,000+ posts its back!

Am I the only one who has oldies stations on his car's main presets?

I love certain hits from the '50s and '60s, and am probably the only person I know with a good amount of oldies in his MP3 collection. And why the heck are people mentioning classic rock? That's nothing to be ashamed of!

Classic rock is cool ... I have The Clash in my car right now :p

I don't like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, et al and never listen to them because they are annoying and make me nauseated. I can't stand country music or jazz. I listen to rap just because some of the lyrics are so outrageous and hilarious.

I have some 80s music that I listen to and I have Euro club mixes, which is about as "embarrassing" as it gets for me. I may listen to Carl Orf's Carmina Burana or some crap like that every now and then if I drink some wine to fall asleep.

I may have not read closely, but nobody here has mentioned New Kids and the Block ... if you listen to that I don't know what to tell you ...

When no one else is around, I play some Cash Money Records songs. Those guys are so immaturely sincere in their carnal and materialistic hedonism it's absolutely hilarious.

Given the way 'popular' opinion is going nowadays (and, admittedly, some of the 'kids' who have jumped in on the 'scene'...god, I sound so elitist), I should probably also be ashamed of listening to emo.

Except, y'know, that IS what I play when others are around.

Although, I guess, a lotta people don't classify Alkaline Trio as emo.

Whatever. Just labels.
