What do you think the hardest game of all time is?

:arrow: ONE OF THE HARDEST GAMES I CAN REMEMBER WAS DEFINITELY 8EYES FOR THE NES. SURPRISED IT'S NOT MENTIONED. ALSO PITFALL. DAMN SCORPIONS AND THE LACK OF ABILITY TO JUMP OVER THEM!
 
The two games that frustrated me the most were Blaster Master and Whiz Kid. I was never able to get far in either.
 
Ninja Turtles 1 was impossible after the dark level (I think it was level 5?) Blaster Master for NES, I don't even know what the hell I'm supposed to do, can't even get past level 1. Battletoads was hella hard too cuz i think you had to jump on those moving snakes which was frustrating as hell and would take forever AND THEN have to do the jetski part. I have beat Punch Out though. Zelda 2 was the hardest game until gamefaqs came out and told me there was a fucking hidden palace i had to use the fucking hammer for.
 
yeah tmnt1 was hard but is way to overated. how come nobody mentioned elmos number land for ps1. man those stupid adding and subtracting quizes! what kind of genius makes these things for a kids game!? no im playing.
 
Marble madness for NES was a really hard game. Until I got the game genie, I didn't get past the first few levels. You could get stuck on an obstacle and loss all your time.
 
Contra...any of them. I find them rather hard. Most players cheated or used codes to beat these games but that's not my style.

Good call on F-Zero GX. I always thought there wasn't a racing game out there I couldn't beat but that one sure humbled the heck out of me.

As for the all time hardest game, I'd have to give my vote to Beyond The Beyond for PSOne
 
Yeah, Blaster Master, TMNT 1 and Gradius were all super hard. Any of those flying games where you had 3 lives were all pretty hard (unless of course you used a code). I remember I played blaster master forever and only got to the 5th level.
 
For me, after the third level friggin Shinobi is impossible. I love the style and gameplay of the game, but damn it. I'd get 3/4 through the level, blink, and fall down a chasm and restart the whole fookin thing. Also, the orginal Metroid b/c I could never find my way around b/c of a lack of a map. Then again, i was about 6 or 7 when I played it.
 
ghouls and ghosts (nes) sweet mother mary i have yet to meet anyone who has beat that game. I know alot of you will now post that it's easy and you have, well send me the freaking video cause i don't freaking believe you freaking freak frack

Battletoads on NES @ level 3.. Hover bike stage had me screaming every known obscenity known to man...and the first Soulblade (Cervantes had me in tears)

Einhander was not as bad as games like Mars Matrix, gigawing2, or ikaruga tho...Id have to disagree on that
 
Kids today. Back in the day, there was a computer game so hard, it was actually called "game over".

Nothing especially hard about King's Field if you just invest some time in leveling up. From there it's just puzzles and exploration. Much easier than a Zelda type game where you only get upgrades at the points intended by the designer.
 
I am going to say Pop N Music.

Basically, the game consits of using 9 buttons almost like Tap Lights and when the Pop Kuns (the circles on the screen) get to the line at the bottom, you hit the corresponding button.

It's a fun game but impossible. I have had it for 6 months (PS1 and PS2 versions) and I still can only play the easier songs.

I'd like to try the arcade version like the one in the video but there are only 5 machines in all of North America.
 
The game that I remember giving me hair-pulling frustration was Kid Chameleon back in the day.
