What FPS are people playing online now?

What are some popular FPS games being played online? I've looked at several, but have no idea about their online environment. Is there a mod for HL2 or UT2004? Prey? CS:Source?
 
Well, Ut2004 is pretty popular. Alot of people play Battlefield something or other too. Quake Wars is supposed to come out in march, thats gonna be the next big online fps. Then of course theres Ut2007 in june.
 
The original CS is still going on strong, along with CS:S. I still play alot of Wolfenstein:ET. Since its free, its still pretty popular. BF2 and 2142 are pretty popular, but they are pretty boring to me, so thats why I stick with et till quake wars comes out.
 
I play CS:S and Goldeneye:Source Beta (which just came out this week). That's about it.

I rarely play CoD2 anymore.

Quake 2 is still being played by alot of people (get gamespy for servers), in case you wanted to know.

BF2: Special Forces might not be that popular but IMO it's still a great multiplayer game. If you get BF2 Deluxe Edition, it comes with it (should be $40 now, though the price for SF dropped to $10 so it's the same now if you buy them separately).
 
I haven't played anything online recently besides GoldenEye Source BETA... which was fun but since it was a BETA, it has some annoying problems (especially hit recognition and lots of stuttering/lagging even with a low ping).
 
BF2 is still fun, and really the only shooter I play on PC. I have been getting back into Halo 2 on the Xbox though...
 
A few fps I play online:
Day of Defeat Source
Quake 2 and 3
Point of Existence 2 (Which is a lot better than vanilla bf2)
AvP2

Games to avoid for online play are Quake 4 and Prey, both these game have barely anyone playing them and Prey has a lot of network code problems.
 
hmm, I have UT2004, CS 1.6, CS:S and BF1942. I don't have BF2 or BF2142. Any particular mods that are doing good in UT2004?
