What Games are a Must for the Gamecube?

Going to breakdown and pick up a gamecube in the near future. I Could use some advice on the best exclusive games for the system. Some games are no contest like Tales of Symphonia, Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Zelda: Wind Waker, Super Mario Sunshine, and Rogue Squadron II & III.

What about some of the older games?

Pikmin
Eternal Darkness
Luigi's Mansion
Starfox Adventures

Anything I am missing that I should look at?

How about Star Fox Assault is it worth a look? Star Wars Adventures seems to get panned by just about everyone....
 
Starfox Assault is okay, but the foot sections really bring it down. The multiplayer is decent, but not good enough to save the game. It's a rental at best.

Anyway, I highly reccommend:
SSBM
Pikmin 2
Metroid Prime (get the original first, it's slightly better and cheaper)
F-Zero GX

Those are my favorites. Some other good games are:
Bomberman Generation (strictly multiplayer, the single player is awful)
Wind Waker
Tales of Symphonia
Paper Mario 2
Mario Power Tennis (mainly multiplayer)
Rogue Leader
Baten Kaitos (not for everyone - it's a very mixed bag of good and bad)

And if you don't already have them on PS2, a few good non-exclusives:
Viewtiful Joe
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
Alien Hominid
Super Monkey Ball 2

Most of the Mario games that aren't listed above aren't that good, though Mario Strikers looks like it might end up being fun. You also may want to get Fire Emblem when it comes out in October.

And yes, Ikaruga is awesome. Hard to find though - I'm glad I got it about a year and a half ago when it hadn't become very rare yet.

Beyond that, it depends on your genre preference and target audience. A few of the more well-known games...

FPS: TimeSplitters 2 and 3
RPG: Tales of Symphonia, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Paper Mario
Fighting: Super Smash Brothers Melee
Action/Adventure: Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Strategy: Pikmin 1 and 2
Racing: F-Zero GX

Pick up Skies of Arcadia, Mario Kart Double Dash, and Wind Waker, and you've got a nice start.

It's a great time to be a cheap ass gamer.
 
iF you have children then anything Mario would be great...Can't go wrong there...The best game I've ever played on GC has to be Resident Evil 4 and then Zeld Windwaker :)
