with an Intel 'EXTREME' graphics 2 integrated graphics card? I'm not joking, by the way. I really do want to know. It must be able to run something, right? Sadly, it's the most powerful PC I have at my disposal. I mean... what would be a performance benchmark for this system?
I'm not entirely sure if I could replace its graphics card, as a side note. If I could, I'd probably do it immediately, but then again, maybe it would be a better idea to just skulk around slickdeals and the like, looking for a far more powerful PC at a really low price. Are there any computers like that around? How are Acers?

You can probably play games from the late 90's like StarCraft, Diablo series, Quake II, Half-Life, Total Annihilation, Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale series, etc.

I have the same computer, I upgraded to an FX5500 PCI card a couple years back and recently upgraded to 1 gig ram, I can play half-life 2 on decent settings at 1024x768 fine. Most old games play fine, I played WoW fine when I had 512mb ram probably would run better now with more ram, but I quit that. Portal works decently. Metal gear solid runs great.

Word!

Before I bought my gaming pc, these are the types of games I could/would play on my integrated graphics pc. These are still great games and won't put a strain on the pc. Hell, I even played Quake III: Arena and Unreal Tournament on that thing. Check out Gametap for a large assortment of low spec games.
