What games/franchise would you like to see brought into this gen?

after metal gear... Zone of Enders.. game needs a sequel. only problem is that it seems like the ZOE mechs are busying playing in the metal gear game... "show me you raaaaaaaaage!"

Karate Champ-using 2 sticks to play the arcade game back in the day was a different experience versus everything else

Double Dragon-a classic, though it could also be done in 3-D, in the style of The Warriors game from last gen

TMNT-bring the classic arcade game into the 21st century

Toejam & Earl-another classic series which has been all but forgotten

Medievel-a decent PS1 title which deserves some PS3/360/Wii 'love'

And, since Comedy Central is getting the rights to play the original episodes AND airing the 4 or so movies that are coming out(first ones out now)as seperate episodes, how about......

Futurama-a great game on PS2/Xbox, which had that cartoony look to it along with all of the shows weird brand of humor

besides the ones I saw mentioned
KOTOR
X-Men Legends
Goldeneye anybody? maybe even just a remake with online multiplayer
Darkstalkers...with new sprites please.
New sprites for everyone BUT Morrigan!

I want to see sequels/remakes/SOMETHING of:

-Incredible Crisis
-Tomba!
-Shantae
-Revenge of the Gator (the BEST pinball game on Gameboy!)
-Soul Blazer/Illusion of Gaia/Terranigma
-Chrono Trigger
-Secret of Mana (like releasing Seiken Densetsu 2 and 3 on DS!)
-Klonoa
-Parappa the Rapper
-Gitaroo Man
-Yo Noid!

Beyond good and evil
Shenmue
Advent Rising
Phantom Dust (Not a direct sequel, but a game with similar mechanics)
Skies of Arcadia

And some new platformers. Anything that was decent, can never have enough platformers.
X-Men Legends
If it counts for anything, I took a video game survey a while back and they were pitching the idea of a marvel ultimate alliance, but it was all playable bad guys instead of heros.

1. Mutant League Football/Hockey: Especially Hockey, as that's my preferred sport. Give us lots of species and a create-a-player/arena/field option, and I'll buy a fucking console for it.

2. Knights of the Old Republic III: But only if Bioware makes it, 'cause those other guys just fucked it up.

3. X-COM: Make it happen, motherfuckers. I don't need a new game, just remake the old one with more research options, weapons, buildings, enemies, and environments.

4. ALTERED BEAST!!!: I don't count that piece of shit GBA game.

5. Shining Force: I know it will never happen, but how about Shining fucking Force 3? You know, that game from ten fucking years ago? The critically-acclaimed SRPG that never even had a fucking chance? Yeah, that one.

6. Beyond Good and Evil: It was supposed to be a trilogy. The ending still haunts me.
WHAT HAPPENS TO PEY'J?
But how about we get an actual camera this time?

7. fuck: Just because.

8. Ultima Underworld. The original Elder Scrolls, this baby did first-person better than Wolfenstein could have ever hoped to. To this day, I still do not know how to cast spells.
Also, some form of Lemmings (as long as it uses a static camera)... on the Wii would be nice.
You are genius. Genius.

Im sad.....i went through all 3 pages reading to make sure that know one didnt post what I was gonna post......I get to the post by The Crotch and I cried.....I went through 3 pages and the post right before mine......said fuck

-Parappa the Rapper
-Gitaroo Man
Already done recently, see PSP.
Those are both ports of the original games. I want sequels/new spin-offs.

4. ALTERED BEAST!!!: I don't count that piece of shit GBA game.
I'm assuming you haven't heard of the PS2 game "Project Altered Beast"? I think it only came out in Japan and Europe, but it's a 3D action game like Devil May Cry and it's not half bad.
I have the Japanese version and it has full English voice-acting. :D
Here's the box art:
Sony owns Lemmings BTW, so don't expect a Wii or DS version any time soon.
I have a very good port of the Amiga version of Lemmings on my DS, with touch screen controls too.

Unofficial of course :D

RPG's
------------
Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross

Vagrant Story

Xenogears - Xenosaga's nice and all, but I want an actual sequel based on Xenogears.

Final Fantasy Tactics - I'd like an actual sequel to my favorite game of all time. I don't like the GBA version but will give the upcoming DS version a shot.

Vandal Hearts - I didn't like II as much, but the first one was great.

Dark Cloud 3 (although Rogue Galaxy is a nice substitute)

Lunar - Make it more like Lunar 1 and 2 and nothing like Dragon Song. Also, Working Designs should be revived to come out with a deluxe US release. =]

Parasite Eve, non-cell phone - I remember reading somewhere that they were working on an actual home console Parasite Eve, but I don't think it was a very reputable source.

Grandia 4 - Make it more like 1 and 2 and less like 3 please.

Arc the Lad - I LOATHED the PS2 installments, but I thoroughly enjoyed every game in Arc the Lad Collection.

Valkyrie Profile - I've yet to finish 1 and 2, but I really like what I've played of both so far.

Suikoden - Great series. I even found Suikoden IV compelling enough to finish it.

Brave Fencer Musashi - I haven't played the PS2 installment, but the original's great.

Shining Force

How about Diablo 3 too? >_>

Other
---------
Guilty Gear (not that RTS crap)

Darkstalkers

Rival Schools

Killer Instinct

Einhander

Crazy Taxi

Jet Grind Radio

Power Stone

Soul Reaver

Panzer Dragoon Anything

Rez

Twisted Metal

Killer Instinct

because there aren't enought fighters this gen, and because the series has been nonexistent since the N64.

QFT. Bring it out on anything.

I'll throw in Dragon Force. Shit, I'd take the PS2 version of the original. And translate Snatcher for PS1 and throw it on the PSN.
kid icarus. oh and it has to be side scrolling(probably on... the psp)
HUH?

Hahaha, point taken.

this thread is giving me some serious Nostalgia. As much as i'm loving playing guitar hero 3, and Assassins Creed, seeing some of these old school games is making me want to pull out my SNES,N64 and Dreamcast out and give them a spin.
I would love to see another
Golden Sun
Skies Of Arcadia -2( I guess testing out the waters by putting the original on the Gamecube to see how it sold (evidently bad) will mean we never will get this)
Silent Bomber- look this up on the playstation
Chrono Trigger/Cross sequel
Marvel Vs. Capcom
Viewtiful Joe
Eternal Darkness
Vagrant Story

Rocket Knight Adventures and Battletoads. I think Snake Rattle and Roll would make a good DS game, too.

Oh, oh, and Megaman Legends 3. Please!

The 7th Saga.

One of the best RPGs ever. I still have it for the SNES and it gets a play every few years.

Still waiting for a Parasite Eve game.

It seemed like a lot of the ps1 rpgs got a sequel on the ps2 except for parasite eve. Oh and I would rather have them use first game's battle engine. :(

My fondest dream is a sequel to GUNVALKYRIE on Xbox. A sequel that went beyond the funky controls and had enemies that weren't just cannon fodder would be amazing.
Of course this will never happen because it sold like free toilet paper in Japan.

Also, I agree with the call for a new Colony Wars. A CW with graphics as fine as Mass Effect would be too much to resist. There's been a sad lack of non-Star Wars space shooters in the past few years.

Lastly, I'd like to see a remake of Panzer Dragoon Saga or a spin-off telling the story of Azel in the desert and ultimately linking the series strongly to Orta.
I want to see more games make a jump from 2D to 3D

And, I want to see more games make a jump from 3D to 2D

awesome!

Jedi Academy needs a remake or a sequal for the Xbox 360, I remember that game taking up tons of my time.....simple yet satisfactory jedi combat action

A Phantasy Star title that actually resembled I, II, and IV in a meaningful fashion and didn't devolve into MMO/card game BS would be nice.

Smash TV or a Star Fox game that Nintendo will actually develop itself(haven't developed one since SF64). I'm guessing that's why all the Star Fox games since then have sucked.

I would love to see Uniracers come back as a $10 XBLA game with a ton of new tracks, leaderboards, new tricks, online racing with at least 8 players per race and any other new modes people can think of...
Comix Zone, one of the most creative titles for the Genesis and the Mutant League sports games.
Agreed on both, though Comix Zone used to kick my ass constantly when I was younger.

Transformers......and not that movie based shitfest with the low gravity npc vehicles. I'm talking Gen 1 stuff and not that horrid excuse for a G1 game from Japan.

Did I just go through every page of this thread, searching for the word "Punch" as in "Punch Out" and see ZERO entries?

Freakin' Punch Out, MAAAAAN!
