What good DS and GBA games are out of print?
That might explain why I could play through the GBA one. I *HATE* Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story. I was completely amazed that I actually liked FF12. Ogre Battle was kind of interesting/different though (but I wasn't a huge fan).

So I guess Square must have hired him away?
He left Square in the middle of FFXII's development (nobody knows the real reason). Which explains why the FFXII start to fall apart and lose focus after you begin the trip to the capital. Archades, I think it was called?'

Rumor is Matsuno's working on something for the Wii.

I would say if you could find a new copy then go for it. I, for one, like my games completed with the original box and manual for the most part.

As for WarioWare, the original GBA one is pretty much scarce. I don't think you would be able to find that new anywhere sans the internet.

I've never played Double Dragon Advance, but if its better than the original it must be good.
I think you can probably add the original WarioWare for the GBA to the list. I couldn't even find a single current OR COMPLETED auction for it, new OR used. So I can't even find out what the value is - seems to be rare, in any case even if it isn't worth much. I know I haven't seen one in a store since I found mine at the CC clearance last summer (for a nice $8.96).
Do a search on EBay with:
045496732370

(UPC code of the game)

and you'll find listings for it. A lot are bootlegs though (the ones with the green cartridge label)

WTF? When I searched on name I found nothing. Maybe I did "WarioWare" instead of "Wario Ware". Anyway, not selling for much - and you are right, about 1/2 - 2/3 appear to be bootlegs.

Still rare to find this one new, I think. If anyone is interested because of Smooth Moves or whatever, I'd snag this if you ever see it.

(On Warioware Touched)
I got it for something like $20 and then sold it for $40 after finding the same... no desire to play anything on it a second time, and a nice profit.
The game itself is not so wonderful, but I love Ashley's stage. The music always makes me giggle.

well,I guess my TRU has it's last 30 copies of C DOS left.....I checked when they had it for $10(I don't know if they still do) and there were like 30!Isn't Boktai and Boktai 2 also OOP?
Y'all are forgetting about that Monopoly/Yahtzee/Battleship/whatever pack on DS, too... I thought it was overpriced at $30 when it came out.... and now it's OOP.

As for the PSP/DS popularity... you know, I hardly *ever* see anyone with handhelds anywhere here... I've seen one DS at my college... no PSP's. When i took my own DS, though, people seemed really interested in it.

I've seen one kid "in the wild" with a PSP... I think that's about it for handhelds. I dunno what the deal is around here. People out in public (with the exception of school) always look at me oddly when I have mine with me, as well. But maybe that's cause I'm a woman in her mid 20's playing video games... I dunno if that's all that accepted by most people.

At the Community College I go to it seems like every other person has a DS, usually a fattie. On the other end, I've seen a couple of people around with PSPs.

I seem to have a bad habit of selling rare games for next to nothing, as I dumped my copy of Warioware for something like $11

I was really, really close to buying Electroplankton from the Nintendo online store last year for the usual $35. I decided against it. Now that I bought my wife a pink DS lite for Christmas, I've realized it would have been the perfect game for her. I'm now trying to see if I can come across a copy for a reasonable price. This will be tough since it was never really released to B&M stores. I did see a used copy once last summer so there may be a slim chance.
Zelda Minish Cap...I can't find it anywhere, and I would probably get it at 20 bucks.

Oh well.
i would sell u my copy for a jackson :)

like the effing dumbass I can sometimes be, I saw this at the Nintendo World Store MANY times and passed it by. I didnt know at that time that it was limited, cos there was always 50+ copies in the store. I wanted to hold out for a lower price. And of course it quickly dissapeared off the face of the earth.

I wound up ordering the Japanese version box set with the headphones for $45.

God damn it, I passed up Double Dragon Advance used at an EB last year, seeing as it didn't have a box or instructions. Now I am shit out of luck.

That and Contra are at the top of my list. I should have gotten Contra for like $9 at Fry's when they had it on clearance. The Warioware games, meh, I always wanted them cheaper. I can wait years for those to be added to my collection.

I knew I should have picked up Lost in Blue at the ToysRUs clearance a day after X-Mas. I put it down when the guy told me it was $20 and not $10. Stupid. That game looks so damn intriguing.

I haven't seen Trauma Center DS for many many months. That and the first Phoenix Wright would be nice, for $20 or even 25, but I can't find them anywhere.

What is Electroplankton all about? I've seen a few Gunpey's at a Fry's near me...is that a shooter?

Oh and what's this Car Battler Joe game all about - I know I saw that one, and Ninja Five-0 in serious quantities back in the day at Fry's.

You can rent it from Gamefly if you want. It was a fun play through (been years since I played it last), but it's not something I need to own.

Contra's just a port of the SNES game (with some levels cut and replaced with levels from the Genesis game). It's another one I enjoyed, but sold after a play through.

Check the reviews. It's just a music making program basically. If I remember right, it doesn't even let you save what you make. Nintendo only sold it on their online store in the US. (I think it's cool they sold it here at all though).
It's not something most of us are going to care about.

I feel that if Electroplankton had a save option, it could easily have been marketed as a Touch Generations game.
