I remember their guides for Phantom Brave and SMT: Nocturne were amazing pieces of work. They were the size of a regular book, packed full of information, and you can tell they put alot of work into their guides.

They had also done one for Disgaea, and it seemed they were going to pick up the slack and make awesome guides for niche rpg games.

Browsing their forums, what information I could get is vague. Apparently they tried to get rights for Digital Devil Saga, Growlanser Generations, they thought Stella Deus was too shallow and won't sell so they won't make a guide for it....

They haven't released anything since SMT: Nocturne, and it's been a couple of months now. I was wondering if anyone knew what's going on with them, other then the little snippets I found? Would be nice to see a guide for Atelier Iris, but I'm doubting it now.

They wrote the best guides I've read imo, and buying the guide for Phantom Brave was the first guide I've bought in over five years. RPG's and (espically) SRPG's need huge awesome guides, and DJ Books really delivered. It would be sad to see them go under, but I can't see where revenue is coming from.

That would suck if they're getting denied rights to these games. I thought I heard that one wouldn't be made for DDS since it's a pretty staright forward and easy rpg.

Their SMT:Nocturne guide is a lifesaver.

I think I might be the only one who isn't impressed w/ the SMT: Nocturne guide. First of all the fonts and pictures are too small, even though I'm not blind, I wish they are easier to read. Second, the book is impossible to stay open to the page I want it to stay while playing the game. If it is the regular 8.5x11 size it would've been easier to keep the page open. Lastly, it didn't come with a big poster, I want a poster of it damnit! :)

agreed that it's a bitch to keep open, but it would cost like $100 if it were fullsize.
my other complaint is that sometimes they get the names of candlelabrums confused and the ink comes off on my fingers! oh well, water under the bridge

It is pretty much confirm if you visit their forum. They are also making a free pdf mini guide for Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana. As for Stella Deus, DDS, Aelier Iris full guide, they felt either they won't be able to make a high quility guide or the game wont ship enough copies.
