What Is A Good PDF Alternative to Adobe Acrobat?

CAGiversary!
Most now that thing is highly glitchy/crashable and quite resource hungry. I've been looking at a couple myself, but just wanted to get some others opinions on them first. I'll probably end up testing them out anyway, but here are the ones that I have found Cute PDF, Foxit PDF, and PrimoPDF. Of those, or maybe one that you guy's would recommends, is the best?

As much as I hate Acrobat, it never occurred to me to look for an alternative to it. I just downloaded Foxit PDF, and it's already much better. The standard version doesn't have a Firefox plug-in, so it won't open up in the window, but it's still infinitely faster than Acrobat. After clicking on several PDF links, its crash record is already much better than Acrobat's ever was.

Foxit Crashes: 0, Acrobat Crashes: ???
Foxit is the best. I like that you don't have to install it.
Foxit is definitely the best alternative. I use that exclusively now, mainly because it looks up almost immediately after I click on it. There isn't that overly-bloated feeling that Acrobat has.

Get a Mac, Preview rocks. Well, unless you like games, or running other applications, then stick with Foxit or something.

 Yes Macs are alright, but I like my playing of games and being able to customize and work in the registry to my heart's content.

I use old versions of Acrobat. Right now I'm either using 4 or 5 and it runs really quick. Granted it doesn't have the new useless features Adbole 88.7 billion has, but it definitely gets the job done quickly.

The problem with that is that nowadays you can find a PDF or a research PDF that uses features that will not be seen on the out of date/older versions of Adobe. Can really hinder you sometimes. Other times the PDFs will run just fine.

Oh and by the way, thank you OP and all in this thread. Foxit Reader is fucking awesome. Loads in absolutely a second. After having Adobe for years and it bogging down my system, this is a Godsend. There's no bloat, just quick load.

I don't even think I'll try the other ones as this one works so well.

Damn, Foxit is incredible. I don't know why I never searched for one before. This thing is just perfect. It loads in a snap. Doesn't take its time like Adobe showing you that it has to load this and that.
I like using GhostScript. It has the added benefit of bypassing the security of documents that don't allow you to print.

This is what I use.

I have Reader installed, though, because tax documents and such that have the "fill-in" option will only work in Abode Reader. (Note that these pdfs usually require an up-to-date version, which means I have to use the latest Reader and all its annoyances.)

GhostScript is good stuff otherwise.
