What is going on with this ebay auction?

It's only $9 in a bookstore. Some people are dumbasses and will buy anything on Ebay.

My cover doesn't look like that though, maybe it's a collector's cover or something.

I dont think it has a different cover. Its just the plastic that they always put around the magazine in stores. I can see the "!" on the corner of the cover, so I'm sure its the same cover.
 
Its most likely being bid on by people not in the U.S who don't get the magazine. I wonder how high it will go...
 
What a bunch of super geek asses. The game is almost that price and you only have to wait a little more than a month longer. Plus, by the time the stuff ships, the mag will already be in stores.

What a jackass, he knows that the store got them early and they're not supposed to put them out till tuesday. He's just doing this to make some money.
 
I say its fair game. If people are willing to pay the cash for a product, go for it. Any person of average intelligence would know better.

Plus the fact that if he works at an EB, the magazine didn't cost him 1 f'n penny. I hope he get's fired.

By the time the stuff came to your house, the mag would already be in stores? What, are the people bidding for this like the burglar who shot his own partner for moving? They should put this in Netscapes world's dumbest people article.

They aren't dumb, they are just misimformed. The average joe probably saw the November 2004 month on the magazine and think they are getting it a whole month early, when in fact all magazines are cover dated at least a month earlier.

As a general rule, assume that people are stupid until they prove otherwise. It's easier that way. :wink:

I'm going to hold out hope that the bidders are people in other countries, people who couldn't get the demo any other way. The prices are still high, but if you're that desperate for it...
 
Kinda off topic, but didn't some people buy the first Zone of Enders simply to play the MGS 2 demo? Imagine what a Halo 2 demo would bring in?

Thats what I want to do now. It seems like an easy way to make money. I was at a bookstore today, and that issue is already out in some places.
 
I think some morons just think if it is on Ebay it must be a deal.

I remember seeing pre-orders for Halo 2 LE going for $70, 80 plus.

actually when they got them in, he could've just taken a picture of it and left it at the store, and then have the auction end after the magazine is released, so he doesnt have to take it out of the store until its released so he does nothing wrong.


still doesnt explain why dumbasses would pay $40 something dollars for it.
 
Well, the guy that paid $40 for it lives in Germany, which probably won't see the demo disc yet. So he'd pay those prices for the magazine. As for the guy wanting $100 for it, he needs a swift kick in the ass. No one will pay that much.
