what is the cheapest way of importing games

Live in Japan!! Thats the cheapest.

Seriously, NCSX or Lik Sang have been the best 2 to deal with in my past experience. I have heard good things about play-asia but have never actually used them.

Just remember if you use Lik Sang or Play-Asia, they are both in Hong Kong and shipping does take some time. NCSX is in New York so shipping can be a little faster from them

If you lived in Japan you wouldn't be importing Japanese games, but you would have to pay higher prices to get American games (IMO there are much more great ones).

Honestly, there really is no good way to import a game (especially for us cheap asses). It's so damn expensive. I find it hard to pay MSRP for a game, but to pay MORE than MSRP?

I will only do it if there is a very long delay from the japanese release and the american release (usually 4-6 months or more like Soul Calibur 2)
And only if its a game I can play with my limited knowledge of the japanese language(fighting and racing games) and must be one I REALLY WANT!

I usually only import if the game is not coming out in the US. I know you said other than Ebay but that really is the cheapest way to get the import games. I usually am able to get games for 1/3 to 1/2 the price the import stores want, less if the game is not in demand. I have even gotten a PS2 import for $1.00 plus shipping brand new off of Ebay when the import stores wanted $30.

Otherwise I would buy from Play-Asia or NCSX since both seem to have good prices but at $60+ for some games, it becomes really selective.

If you have friends or familes living in Japan or even Hong Kong you should be able ask them to get games at a good price. I used to know a guy who got his familes in HK to get new import games at good price.

I only import for older systems, as I hate paying such high prices. But yeah, the only good and reliable places to get imports from are the ones listed above...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

*flames Dracula*

wosrt. suggestion. EVER.

My friend lives in Okinawa, found a could of games for my pretty cheap (one used for a decent price and one new for the price I would have spent before shipping.) but still more than you;d pay for domestic games. Also even on base his prices for regular games are ridiculous but atleast when he buys games online his shipping is about the same as it would be in the US.
