paying 20 bucks for dragon ball z budokai on release day. though i got a good deal, it was just too crappy of a game
I got Budokai for 2 bucks at the overstock sale and I STILL feel ripped off :(
Well give it to me then!
Well, it's for Gamecube, you lose again!
Well give it to me then!
You cant have my games!!!

I have it to serve as a reminder of why I shouldn't purchase games just because they are cheap.
GRRRR Morbid go Hulk!

IKIK. I love Budokai.
Go hulk on his ass! That'll teach him for dissing the hobbit

Yea, I am a little hard on the game, it wasn't THAT bad, it is without a doubt the best DBZ fighting game there is, but then again that isn't saying all that much is it.

Oh, and if anyone is remotely interested, I ended up trading her Harvest Moon for GCN for the extra copy of Tales of Symphonia so all is well in the world.

i once bought a joystrick at the same time i bought a flying game - both online. well, when the arrived, i found the game did not work on my comp. i could resell the game, but the joystick for some reason could not be sent back (bought it from a different place). ever since then i've had a 30 buck joystick just sitting useless in my room. not a big flight game guy, and after that experience i have not repeated my attempt. i tried it out, and boy did it backfire.

but only 30 bucks. not too bad.

Worst purchases/items sold pre current console era: Selling off my entire NES collection because I wanted money, only to rebuy most (if not all) games from my collection 10 years later. Sega CD comes in a close second because I sold it two weeks after getting for my BDay, luckily I got all my money back.

Worst purchase this current generation is probably Kirbys Air Ride. It's the only $50 game I played for less then five hours, and I traded it in asap. It's not a bad game just not worth the $50 I paid for it.

Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I used to buy about 4-5 packs a week to build up my deck. When I finally had the ultimate deck, everyone that I played with quit and stopped playing it. So basically, my deck is useless now since no one plays it anymore.

I spent quite a bit of money on Yu-Gi-Oh cards as well, and I only knew one other person that played, but we both quit at the same time.

I agree, selling off my nearly mint NES collection, only to try and repurchase many of the gems I lost years later with all of their original materials. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Yep glad I never did that, although I've spent quite a bit getting some games that I didn't like but have some strange desire to finish (Tactics ogre, earthbound)
buying a dreamcast for 200$ when it came out, then having it go out of business a yr later and now sells for 20$
Dreamcast is the best system in exsistance though, how can you be upset with that purchase?

...oh no...

...Well, at least a fanboy statement about the greatest system ever achieved this milemarker for me...

I hold allegence for no one!! Actually my favorite system according to IGN would be PSX, since my favorite genre are RPGs. And since I play my PSX games on PS2 plus all the PS2 games I own, you could say my favorite system is PS2. But I appreciate all systems for what they have to offer, Dreamcast was the first system that I really got into (I had the launch day marked on my calender). So I tend to hold the DC in a special place in my heart.

Yes yes, me too. But I should take this time to write/finish my story, possibly play SO/TOS/MP/other MP/a hell of a lot more PM2/ a hell of a lot more GTA SA (I've barely barely started. barely), and quite possibly (gasp) finish up my biology project.

Sadly I'm doing none of those, I just sit at the computer bored and complain. >_

My dumbest purchase would probably be my 2000 Suzuki GSXR-600. I bought it new on an impulse and between the day I purchased it, sometime in Sept of 2000 and today, November 8th 2004......I've put a MASSIVE 1848 miles on it.

At a cost of nearly $8500 after taxes I've paid about $4.60 for every mile I've ridden the thing.

Colorado. Between the end of November and mid April, it's to cold, for me at least, to ride it even if the roads are clear of snow and the gravel/salt crap that the city drops to melt the snow/ice during winter.

During the summer, the weather is gorgeous but I don't go to a lot of places by myself so I end up driving my car or going with someone else. I also don't have any friends with bikes and my girlfriend is DEATHLY afraid of motorcycles so the bike is out if we are going someplace together.

Most of the miles I put on my bike are back and forth trips to the gym.....which is a massive roundtrip of about 5 miles.
