What is the most funny game you've ever played?

coltyhuxx

CAGiversary!
I'm going to say Conker's Bad Fur Day (just because I'm watching my friend play it all over again).. Monkey Island(s) too.

I heard Bards Tale is hilarious... hmmm... maybe I'll bargain-bin it.

Probably Day of the Tentacle.

Monkey Island Series comes close though.

The funniest games are adventure games, made by either Tim Shaefer or Ron Gilbert. Nothing else truly compares.

Recently? Phoenix Wright and Bards Tale (yes the action is repetitive, but the humor is GOLD Thank you Cary Elwes :p).

Back in the day? Conker, Monkey Island and Warcraft 2 /Starcraft/any blizz product (just getting the amusement of clicking them over and over for funKNEES, and me making fun of them "I can't work i'm on welfare!" - Peon)
The Monkey Island games.
That's the first thing that came to my mind. A lot of adventure games are pretty hilarious (Space Quest, Phoenix Wright, etc.), but all the Monkey Islands are pretty consistently funny.

Some other funny games I can think of that I've played are No One Lives Forever, Space Channel 5, Ouendan/EBA.

Pretty much all of the classic LucasArts adventure games. Oddly enough, I didn't find Phoenix Wright to be all that funny. Cute maybe, but I wasn't ROFLing.

Apparently I should play the Monkey Island games...

I'd say Psychonauts, Okami (I'm playing it right now and for some reason I find it funny), and the only reason I actually finished Killer 7 was because I thought the way your companion guy/thing talked was hilarious.

That part in Vice City/San Andreas (can't remember which exact game), where you had to drive the limo full of Brit rockers around town while it was rigged to explode was probably the funniest moment I've ever had with a game.

Heck yes. I'm hoping the Wii will give us an awesome adventure game, preferably written by Tim Schafer.
Shadow Hearts had some parts that had me laughing. **Hey lady I can see up your....**
I love in Covenant with the boss that's flying on a pillow and Yuri and the rest of the characters ignore his speech and instead wonder about where he got his flying pillow. Or when Yuri started ignoring one person's information and started dancing with Blanca. There's tons of hilarious moments in Covenant and FtNW.

- EarthBound
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
- Bully
- Stubbs the Zombie

I'm sure there are others...

I'd say the most funny is Psychonauts, Curse of Monkey Island runner-up. Other really funny games include:
All other Tim Schaefer Games (Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Grim Fandango)
Monkey Island Series
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Jak Series (including Daxter on PSP)
Ratchet Series (though neither Ratchet nor Clank were funny)
Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City (Mostly the radio commercials and chat stations)
Space Quest Series
Leisure Suit Larry Series (except 6)
Sam and Max Series (especially the original)
Super Mario RPG
NoOne Lives Forever Series
Bully
Stubbs
Super Mario RPG
Metal Slug Series
The Bards Tale (I played that for hours depite hating the gameplay)
Saints Row

Conker was funny but the comedy is a little old. I guess Bully, or any of the GTA games. Saints Row was funny when your guy talked. "Those are last years shoes."

ever - Conkers Bad Fur Day

currently - Lost Planet - The story is so lousy and the voice acting so corny i started laughing my ass off by the third plot twist

LEGO Star Wars and Destroy All Humans come to mine. Discworld is up there, but I'm biased because I love the books.

Most unintentionally funny is Resident Evil. "Barry...Where's Barry?"
Rayman Raving Rabbids (Wii)
Hit the nail on the head.

Wow, I don't know how I missed that Tim Schafer did Psychonauts. I'm probably going to have to cut off my Halo playtime and bump Psychonauts to the top of my Xbox queue.

The Space Quest Series was very funny.

I remember laughing a lot when playing Popful Mail though my Sega CD has been dead for years. I'd like to play that one again.

Superhero League of Hoboken had some funny characters in it too.

Zack McKracken & the Alien Mindbenders - A lucasarts game that came out after Maniac Mansion (and ironically enough contained the gas for Maniac Mansion's chainsaw...) I nearly wet myself when I played it. Specificaly when I flipped the switch in the back of the phone company's office...

Oh, yeah...Rayman. Don't know how I forgot that.
way of the warrior for 3DO (unintentionally)
Did you all know that Naughty Dog developed that? Former bigwig there Jason Rubin actually played two of the characters.

I second Metal Gear Solid 3. There are some hidden CODEC conversations that had me on the floor laughing.

Snake: "I ate a Russian glowcap and it charged up my batteries."
Para-Medic: "Huh!?"
Snake: "What's wrong?"
Para-Medic: "I, uh...that's...that's great!

I think MGS2 and 3 are probably the funniest games I have played. 2 probably takes the lead if only for the golden shower Raiden gets and the masterbation scene. Both have me rolling on the floor every time I see them.
I'd say Psychonauts, Okami (I'm playing it right now and for some reason I find it funny), and the only reason I actually finished Killer 7 was because I thought the way your companion guy/thing talked was hilarious.
Okami does have some very funny dialogue thanks almost single handedly to Issun.
Rayman Raving Rabbits
We did a marathon one night and got through the game starting at like 11pm.. By the time the choir part came along I was rolling. My brother was instinctivley doing the slapping motion as though he were slapping the little rabbits. I could not stop laughing... at both the game and the players that night.

Good times.

AMEN to that one! I forgot about Zak... that game was something special, for sure. I vividly recall the title screen (and music) and knowing I had stumbled, er cough downloaded illegally (hey I was ten and a pirate back in the day), special.

Armed & Dangerous

The Leisure Suit Larry series was great for laughs because it was so insanely stupid. You couldn't help but laugh at some spots.

Gotta throw in another vote for Sam & Max. So glad to see that franchise alive again!

Most unintentionally funny for me was House Of The Dead 2 on Dreamcast. I love when that dying guy hands you a key with his last ounce of strength and then you just say "thanks" and take off.
when i was younger earthworm jim and the wierd shit in that game was sometimes funny.
I'll always remember shooting the fridge to launch the cow in the air, then in big words it says "Cow Launch Successful" or something. I laughed but I was confused at the same time. Bubsy is another series that comes to mind but it wasn't as funny as some of the series people mentioned, but it still had its moments.

I'd have to recommend The Bard's Tale 110%!

Also, the game wasn't funny, but the characher Minsc (and his hamster Boo) from Baldurs Gate for the PC was the most enjoyable character I have played in a good long while. And the game is the best PC game of all time!

Day of the Tentacle is my tops, followed by Sam & Max. Others on my list are Maniac Mansion, Armed and Dangerous, and Serious Sam First & Second Encounters. There were moments in Parappa that got me to chuckle, but the game was more of an overall "fun" experience, more than "funny"
