With the bad news (confirmed by developers) dropping that there won't be online support for Wii games until 2007, we're seeing the rose-colored goggles fall off of people who were previously excited about the Wii.
My question, for those of you planning on buying the Wii at launch, is what is the one feature of the Wii that you absolutely must have at launch?
It appears that for some people this feature was online gaming. Maybe for you that feature is competent play control with the Wiimote, or maybe it's something like DS connectivity, flawless backwards compatibility with GC titles, or being able to buy a Wii in the goofy lime green color. I guess I'm looking for the feature that, if not present, would make you consider the Wii launch relatively disappointing.
For me, the one feature I cannot do without is the Virtual Console. There had better be good VC games at launch and the Classic controller had better provide tight controls. If this is not so, I will strike down Nintendo with the fury of a thousand harpies.
