What kind of gift cards does Amazon accept?

I was reading the forums and saw somewhere that Kindle gift cards could be used for any Amazon purchase... is this true?

I would also like to know if an iTunes GC could be used at Amazon... I thought I saw that somewhere too.

I am trying to see if I can get a gift card from a kiosk at the local Gamestop and use it at Amazon. Are there any gift cards that Gamestop carries that will let me get Amazon credit.

I don't think I am trying to do anything shady or anything. I am trying to use some of my Gamestop credit to buy a GC so I can pick up a few older games from Amazon that Gamestop no longer carries or they still carry them but no GS has them. I am not even sure if I can buy a GC with Gamestop credit.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't think they will take Itunes gift cards, but Kindle will probably work since that is Amazon's own property. They are not going to accept any other retailers gift cards. Honestly just buy a gift card for somewhere popular or even Gamestop itself and sell it on Ebay. You will get pretty much face value for it and then you can just buy whatever you want on amazon.

Kindle gift cards are nothing but Amazon gift cards with a kindle logo. Why would iTunes gift cards work for a completely different company (amazon)?

So I am thinking my best course of action would be take a few used games to my local Best Buy and get a gift card for the trades... and then buy a Kindle gift card.

Now my question is... Is anyone 100% sure a Kindle Gift Card will let me buy other things (new/used video games) at Amazon.com and not just books.

I saw someone mentioning the Kindle GC being able to be used anywhere at Amazon.com, but I would like to know before I go out and get a few Kindle GCs and are forced to buy books only when I don't even own a Kindle.

I assure you. It wasn't meant to be a joke. I could have swore I read that iTunes cards could be used at Amazon too... but I really didn't trust the person who posted about it, so I needed to ask.

(please read my post above this one so it will make everything 100% clear to me... this is the first time I will be trading games to Best Buy for credit, and I was hoping to snag about four $50 Amazon/Kindle GCs today if someone can confirm.)

I am 10,000% sure that a kindle gift card will let you purchase anything that Amazon.com sells. I've done it multiple times. It even says on the gift card that it can be used towards thousands of items that Amazon sells.
 
iTunes cards only work on iTunes.

Amazon Kindle GCs are Amazon gift cards, rebranded, nothing more. They work on anything at Amazon, Kindle items or not. You can buy them at any retailer that sells Kindles, which would be Best Buy and Target.
 
read the back of the kindle card. it would have exclusions and whatnot written with the terms for the most part if you want to see it for yourself.
