What kind of usb hub should I get?

Any hub will work. I've used a powered and a non-powered hub. Depends on what you're hooking up to it. Basically, if you hook too many devices up to the USB port it'll fail. The USB port shouldn't fail but your devices will fail to operate. On Windows it'll say something like 'power overload on USB device X'. I don't know what it (if) will say on the PS3 but you shouldn't be able to damage it that way.

Thanks. that answers my questions. I just noticed that the Guitar dongle come with a hub already, so I'm good. Thanks again.

I bought a cheap APC brand USB HUB (looks like it was for laptops because it's real small) and it seems to work OK but sometime my USB keyboard will quit responding so I have to unplug and plug it back in to work, and the only other thing hooked up to it is the PSeye.

I saw a USB hub last week @ Big Lots for $6. It supported USB 2.0 and 1.1(I believe).

If I remember correctly, it was a 4 port hub. For $6, that's a steal, right?
