What level of education do you plan to have or currently have?

Im a senior in High School right now, although I have taken 1 college class so far (Intro to Sociology) and I plan on taking another one next semester (Intro to LAN). And my Highschool is paying for the classes, which is really cool.
I plan on going on to a local community college and atleast getting a 2 year degree in LAN Management, with a certificate in PC Repair. I dont know if I will go to another college for 2 more years.

Master's Degree. I might go back to school if I decide to change careers. Seeing that I have only been in my current profession for about 5 years, it probably will be a while until that happens though. I might start my own business too, which would be alot better than working for the man! :) It would likely have nothing to do with my Master's though.

Highschool diploma for right now. Help1, what about you?
Im planing to go 4+ years in college.... I want to go into medical..... but I will settle for pre-med....
Well yeah, it kinda works that way. Pre-med, then medical school.
I don't know what your talking about..... pre-med is 8 years and after 4 years you need to take M-CATS, get a good score, and need to apply to colleges again...

Med is 7 years and you don't need to take M-CATS or apply to colleges again.... your in the program as long as you maintain the score....
You may need some more highschool education if that's what you think the path to an M.D. is.

It starts in college. Most colleges don't have "pre-med" majors, but they usually have a set of classes you can take that sastify the various medical school pre-requisites. In other words, there is no "pre-medical" school. (Hmm, that's not exactly true but that's only if you want to go to a special program for students who want to improve their application.)

So that's 4 years. Usually during the 3rd or 4th year (depending on whether you want to take a year off before med-school) is when you take the MCAT (which is essentially like a SAT was for college).

Then you apply to med school, which last about 4 years (but it depends on whether or not you apply for a dual MD/PhD degree).

Then you take quals to gain your M.D. Lastly, you go through your residency (think of the "interns" on ER, the show).

Hope that helped.
Masters degree in Sociology

Lost interest and didn't finish my PhD

I teach at the 2-year college level . . . which I love!
I'm starting my Ph.D. work this year, although I have not yet defended my thesis research. I'll be doing that in the first week or two of January.

Moral of the story, kids: Master's Thesis = Replication and Extension. Replication and Extension. DON'T go doing some topic you love. Save that shit for a dissertation.

myke.
so we should start another topic and post what jobs make what money doin what huh? can some one set this up all neat and stuff?? inspire some of the younger cags like me with no direction
The grammar of your posts alone tells us your level of education; there's no need to answer the poll.

About to graduate from University of Houston Pharmacy School with a doctor of Pharmacy degree in May, 2005. Starting salary at $90,000 + after taxes is not too bad. For undeclared majors out there, think about pharmacy school. There's a mad shortage of pharmacists in the U.S.
