What Movie Sequels Pissed You Off?
Dawn of the Dead. It pissed me off in that I could no longer assume all sequels were lessser than the original.
Wait hold on. So what your sayin is your mad cause it was the first sequel you saw that you liked better than the original? Ok got it. Dawn is my favortie and i know you meant Dawn
Highlander: the quickening was certainly a disappointment (to say the least).
AHHH! That is one of my top 10ish favorite movies, is that the one with the guys with the jetpack things, im sorry but any movie with a jetpack is fucking awesome.

When they make sequels to Porn movies that have plots. Just fuck dumbasses. And Matrix Revolutions. And Superman 4 and 5. and Rocky 5.

coulda made this thread alot shorter by just asking which sequels didnt piss you off, because sequels blow ass 99% of the time

Spoilers... for that 10-20% of the geek population that hasn't seen it...

Matrix Revolutions...

The damn ending.

All of that, how does it end? A pretty-pretty sunset. That pissed me off so-very-much.

The Battle for Zion and final confrontation of Neo and Agent Smith made the movie great, and worthy of appreciation it never was given... but damn, that sunset happy-slappy ending.. ughhh. No guys, it's not poetic. It's ****ing P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C.

Not all sequels are bad. Spiderman 2, Bad Boys 2, D2:Mighty Ducks:booty:

son of the mask, miss congeniality 2, legally blonde 2, baby geniuses 2, dumb and dumberer.
They all pissed me off by existing.

Any sequel of any movie, that the sequel was made to try to make some money off of a long dead franchise or movies that are one hit wonders.
My best example would be "The mask" good movie made some decent money, and son of the mask. horrible movie that bombed like a Army test center in Nevada desert. The idea of "Son of Scarface" movie being made. WTF Tony said it in the orginal movie that his wife could not have a kid.

Mortal Kombat Annihilation! Man, after a totally decent first film, how did this complete trainwreck come to be? Its like they weren't even trying anymore.

i thought spiderman 2 was pretty retarded, and i know not all sequels are bad, hence the reason i said '99%' and not '100%'

This thread is pretty much over with Matrix Revolutions. But we'll keep going.

Texas Chainsaw Massacres - first was awesome, rest sucked
Kill Bill - second one put me to sleep
Oceans Twelve - second just didn't have the heart and soul as the first
Resident Evil - I actually liked the first one, but the second was awful
Indiana Jones - I HATED the second one, it was so dumb and was pointless. "Sure I'll help you random tribe get your stone back, I have nothing better to do." Thank god for The Last Crusade
Bad Boys 2 - wait a minute, Bad Boys 1 sucked too, sorry
Robocop 2 & 3
Matrix Revolutions (not Reloaded- that didnt piss me off)
Superman 3 & 4
ROBOCOP 2 KICKS ASS.

KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
Ocean's 12,

and Leonard, Part 6
omfglol isn't leonard part 6 the bill cosby movie that was actually the first and only part? thats hilarious.
It's the perfect example of a sequal that sucked as well as the original lol.

If it has nothing to do with bill cosby then i need to lay off the glue and I have no idea what movie it is.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers & Return of The King

I'm not saying they're bad movies, but they really really upset me. Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring stuck pretty closely to the book, but the 2nd two movies took waaaaaay to many liberties. Granted, they were good movies - i'm not saying they weren't, but come on... I'm still upset that the 'Scouring of the Shire' wasn't in ROTK. That's like one of the best parts!

I better stop now...or else it'll turn into a big rant...
Kill Bill - second one put me to sleep
Keeping in mind that they are actually one big movie, I liked Kill Bill 2 a hell of a lot more than Kill Bill 1. It had so much more of the storytelling and dialogue that I love out of Tarantino.

I didn't like them either. The first one I liked so much I didn't even notice the length. The second I got really bored in the middle. The third, I kept looking at my phone to see what time it was, only to be dissapointed that only like 4 minutes had passed.
Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection
Alien 3 not so much, but resurection destroyed the franchise in my mind. Why they thought cloning her was a good idea, ahh dont get me started lol

Don't remember Superman 5.....you might mean 3 and 4.....3 had Richard Pryor ( I was a kid so I thought it was fun), but 4 definitely sucked.

KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
Frank Miller (the guy who wrote the screenplay) and Irvin Kershner (the director of Robocop 2 and Empire Strikes Back) both said that there was a lot of studio interference. I believe it considering how talented those two guys are.

EDIT:

Here is a link about the comic book that Frank Miller produced that is more in line with his original screenplay.

I actually didn't like Alien 3 because they killed off Ripley. Mainly because Ripley struggled so much against the aliens in the previous 2 movies and to just kill her off at the end of 3rd movie like all her struggles doesn't matter.... especially since they kill Newt at the beginning of 3rd movie!

No, I like watching people walk 10 hours for a stupid ring. Go to the jewelers and buy another she will never know. What? That's not what the ring is for, oh..... nevermind.

I don't get into a lot of movies, so there aren't many sequels that have pissed me off lately. However, both Matrix sequels ruined the greatness that the first movie had. I really wish the first film could have been left alone. And though it isn't a sequel, how about that awful looking remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? That's one movie that did not need to be remade.
Not all sequels are bad. Spiderman 2, Bad Boys 2, D2:Mighty Ducks:booty:
I'll give you Spiderman 2 and D2, but Bad Boys entirly sucked. Too long and was just missing the magic that the first had.

My thoughts exactly of the second volume of Kill Bill. I loved both volumes equally. They are both excellent and some of my favorites, but most people don't understand Tarentino's work very well and that's why not too many people like the second volume as much as the first.
I hated Caddyshack 2, then there's also Batman and Robin...
Batman and robin was horrible. Mighty ducks 3 was a shitty movie too since I saw someone mentioned D2, which I enjoyed. Jurassic park 2 wasn't that great either.
Batman and robin was horrible. Mighty ducks 3 was a shitty movie too since I saw someone mentioned D2, which I enjoyed. Jurassic park 2 wasn't that great either.
Batman and Robin sucked hard.

Batman"Your not going to be my sidekick"
Robin"I am. and there is nothing you can do about it"

And Bain should have broken Bruce Wayne like he did in the comic books.

Although I thought The Matrix was an average movie, I think that the two sequels took away from the "magic" -- I guess you could call it that -- of the first. The first one had a alright grasp of what Blade Runner and Dark City felt like... but the two sequels felt like two entirely different takes on the same theme. Especially the last one, which felt like a more boring version of one of the bootleg Star Trek sci-fi television shows on UPN.

They should have left it at the ending of the first one. But movie studios love money and idiots love spending it.

The Crow: City of Angels

My goodness this movie sucked. The first one was a freaking masterpiece. How the hell did this one turn into such a piece of crap.

Indiana JOnes and the Temple of Doom
Predator 2
Revenge of the Nerds 2
Naked Gun 33 1/3
Ghostbusters 2

All disappointing.

It contained absolutely NO HUMOR what-so-ever!! It gives you the feeling of losing your job, getting a root canal, and getting your dog run over all at once (for two full hours straight!!).

At least the original did have certain humorous bits given the tragic story.
Mortal Kombat Annihilation! Man, after a totally decent first film, how did this complete trainwreck come to be? Its like they weren't even trying anymore.
simple they wasnt thinking. it was just a rush job to make money off the name

I could restate a bunch of titles that have already been mentioned but I won't. I will add another title to the growing list of sequels that piss people off.

Blade 2

The first Blade was absolutely cool and the second was some stupid and weak story thrown together so they could capitalize on the success of the first. I did really like Blade 3, though. And I don't think Alien 3 belong on any of the lists at all! I believe the way Ripley died was a fitting end to would should have remained a trilogy as her death finally wiped out all trace of the xenomorphs that were accessible to man. Sure it sucked that they had to kill Ripley but they did in such a way that in death she was striking the final blow against her mortal enemy. Alien Resurrection absolutely belongs on this list of sequels that piss us off though. What the hell were they thinking with that horribly designed alien hybrid thing towards the end? I mean, I enjoyed it a little bit because I liked the mix of characters but that hideous beast just completely ruined the few small things the movie had going for it.

STAR SHIP TROOPERS 2!! OMG how can they make such a great action movie turn into a cheap boring movie?

:EDIT: Also forgot to add Kill Bill Vol. 2. I tried, I really tried to like this movie but it was just too boring. Not enough fight scenes like Kill Bill Vol. 1.

Batman Forever- Jim Carrey & Tommy Lee Jones basically killed that movie with their lame ass attempt to pull off the Riddler & Two Face. Those villians were never that goofy in the comics.

Army of Darkness- The first two Evil Dead movies were decent with the horror. This movie seemed to ditch the horror part of it and turn it into a goofy action movie.
