what r some rare GC/ N64 games?
Hows about the Indiana Jones games that came out for the N64 that you could only buy off the Lucas Arts website or rent at Blockbuster Video. would you consider that a rare one.
Ahh..I had that one. I actually liked it.

That's definitely rare. Nice one.
I was pondering this topic again today, particularly for the GCN. Based on what I've heard/seen, this seems be a list of rare GCN games:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Choas Bleeds
Bust-a-Move 3000
Lost Kingdoms 2
NCAA Basketball 2K3
Both Zelda bonus discs

Some others like PN03, SoA and Cubivore might be harder to find, but I'm fairly certain that they're not rare. Any that I'm missing?

Is there anything I'm missing?
Are the Zelda discs really rare? They might be worth a good bit but I see them everywhere. I think some of us (including me) are misunderstanding the term 'rare.' NCAA BBall I think is the closest to rare. I sold a copy for $100 on eBay during March Madness.

IMO, Space Raiders for GCN is going to be rare. Its a 3D sequel to Space Invaders.

Its fairly new so its still not THAT hard to find, but I think I'm gonna pick one up soon just in case. Plus its only $20 :)

Son of a BITCH!!! There were 2 at my Circuit City sale I think... and they sat in the bin up until a week ago (NCAA BBall 2k3)

Wow I'm suprised I don't see Harvest Moon or Starcraft in that list. I always had to fork over a chunk to get my hands on Starcraft, and Harvest Moon goes for $50 at my local EB and Gamestop.

I have a pre-release version of Harvest Moon 64. It's in the development cartridge, the cart that's twice the size of the normal N64 cart.

Don't kick yourself too hard - the secondary market on it has dropped to the $50-60 range recently. ;)

As for the Zelda discs, I'm assuming that they were pressed in smaller numbers than a game that was sent to general retail. I might be making a false assumption here, and if I am, I'd agree that they aren't rare. But, as the WW Pre-Order disc was limited to the number of pre-orders of WW (which is certainly less than 40% of the total number of WW sold) and the Collector's Edition bonus disc was limited to the holiday season (though this may have been pressed in much higher numbers), I'm going to continue to assume that these two are rare.

I can't think of any rare n64 games outside of the N64DD releases, unless n64 promo games count. I have a Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 'Not for resale' cart that lets me choose several different areas of the game to test out. I don't even know where it came from, probably a display item in a gamestore.
Clayfighter 63 1/3 Sculpters Cut only 20k release to Blockbuster Videos
Never knew that Clayfighter was so difficult to find. I have seen a lot of them around at my gamecrazies but only a couple of times at Eb and Gamestop. I never knew that they were supposed to be destroyed. where did you get or find this info?

I think there was a general release of 63 1/3 and the Sculpter's Cut was only to Blockbuster.

Yes, yes it is, but sometimes some places have the game more than others... I've yet to see ANY copy of Starcraft 64 anywhere...

Although, I don't see playing RTS' with a controller as very much fun... :p

I assume just rare, as people have been spotting them for 20 dollars all over, and I even ordered my copy through BB.com a few weeks before Christmas for 20 dollars, as well.

I got one of two copies of Ikaruga for $40 @ BB the day it came out and I haven't seen a copy there since.

Still pops up at Gamestop and EB around here for around $30 I think.

Yeah, but have you played Space Raiders? IMHO, it's not very good. I got rid of mine because I didn't like it.

Its definitely simple, but still for $15 (I got it used) I think its pretty fun. And it has some damn nice production values for a budget game.

I don't know if this has been posted before, but EBGames had a copy of Starcraft 64 PO for about 25 dollars a few days ago, I don't see it on the site now, but I'm sure it'll appear back on the site within a week... speaking of which, Starcraft 64 is 55 dollars PO at Gamestop.com...
Here's another note about Clayfighter 63 1/3 Director's Cut - This was an exclusive Blockbuster rental. In fact, Blockbuster requested that stores destroy their copies once their rental life ran out. From what I've heard most of the franchise stores did just that, but the other stores didn't. This could possibly become the rarest N64 game in time.

In fact, there were a lot of rental exclusives. I'm not sure if anything besides Clayfigher 63 1/3 DC was ordered to be destroyed, though.
I remember seeing it for sale at Blockbuster for $9.99 used, I still regret not getting it.

I did buy Stunt Racer 64 when I saw it at Blockbuster since when I heard it was rental exclusive, I was annoyed because I was really looking forward to the game and bought it as soon as I saw it for $19.99 used.

Paper Mario is fairly common, just in demand. Used it goes for $15 (cartridge only)-$20 (complete). I have seen the occasional sealed copy go from anywhere between $25-$60 .

Starcraft seems to be hard to come by and is worth at least $25, though a complete copy can net you near $100.

Sculpter's Cut was not ordered to be "destoryed" only to be thrown out. A vendor at my local Flea market had at least 10 copies that he claims he found in a dumptster behind a BB.

Dazz's list seems to be highly incorrect, I'd say at least 1/3 of the games list are pretty common. High indemand, but common never the less.
